I think that females are depicted are quite fragile and need a strong man to look after them. I feel that they are presented as not confident and need the help of someone. On the other hand, females can sometimes be on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. For example, in magazines they are often showing off their bodies and acting beautiful and elegant. Like they deserve everything.
