         <description><![CDATA[<div>The goal of the gifted education then is to transform those gifts into talents through both learning processes (both formal and informal) and natural catalysts.&nbsp;<br><br>Intrapersonal Catalyst - Physical ability, personality, and motivation&nbsp;<br>Environmental Catalyst - Culture, Programs, and People&nbsp;<br><br>We can provide some positive environmental catalysts in school by giving them a safe place to engage with their abilities and we can provide learning processes to guide their thinking, but we cannot change their intrapersonal catalysts. We cannot force them to be motivated or change their inherent physical ability.&nbsp;<br><br>This brings my thoughts back to the different kinds of gifted students that were identified in our videos this week. Does this imply that the students who don't have the desire to learn or the motivation cannot transform their gifts into talents?&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
