The website I have chosen for my first post is an article about the 2008 financial crisis that struck North America along with other countries. It is an article about trying to figure out how no body saw this coming, and what we can do to make sure we don't have it happen again. I personally don't know much about the situation so this article was good for me. This article shows how unpredictable our economy is, and raises questions about the future.

The biggest take away for me reading this is the fact that 2008 was the worst financial crisis since World War II. I was 16 years old in 2008 and I have no real recollection of how difficult the times were. Moving forward we need to be ready for things to change, and we should not be as comfortable as we are. Things change quick and it can happen again if we aren't prepared.

This article is about how Canada was able to dodge the worst of the financial crisis and it gives credit to those who made it possible. This article outlines the steps and procedures the Canadian government had taken to avoid a financial problem. The reason I enjoyed this article is because it gives credit where credit is due. A lot of articles point fingers and shine a negative light on those involved but this article shines the light in a positive sense on certain people involved.

This article gives me a little relief moving forward in Canada. Canada did a good job at seeing the potential threats coming our way and Canada made it work. I do not follow along with the Canadian market much, and I really don't spend much time looking at the financial status of Canada, but seeing stories like this make me feel a bit better moving forward with big financial decisions in my near future.

The first video I chose is about the Canadian Housing Market and how it raises concerns moving forward. The housing market is down by a large amount and if it keeps up this way it could cause major issues moving forward. Moving forward looking for a house and a place to live is a concern. If the market stays this poor there could be major issues moving forward for Canada. The video outlines the problems we have and what it could mean for us.

This video stands out to me because of the potential issues it brings. As a young individual who wants to eventually own his own house the numbers are a little concerning. Canada needs to see the issues that are approaching and hopefully find a way to sort this out before its too late.

The next video outlines Canada's debt and just how bad it is. They throw a lot of different stats and stuff out there that honestly I had a difficult time fully understanding but this video outlines some major points involved in the debt we as a country has. The number that stands out for me is since Trudeau took over Canada's debt has risen by 73 billion. I am not looking to point the finger especially on a topic I don't know too much about, but that is a very large and concerning number.

What stands out for me is the amount of debt Canada has. The video does put numbers out there that breaks down the debt in a better light. This video tries to put the numbers in perspective and shows that the 73 billion isn't as scary as it sounds. Moving forward Canada needs to limit their debt and this video shows why and how that can happen.

This Websites article is about the Canadian bank economy in 2008-2010. The Canadian banking system in 08'-10' was highly touted by the federal government and also the people of Canada. During this time countries all over the world faced financial difficulties, but Canada was insured their banks needed no bail outs. Turns out Canadian banks took 114 billion in from the U.S and Canadian government. I was wrong when this happened , but never would have known Canadian banks needed to be bailed out.

This article lets me know that even though things seem fine and dandy behind the closed curtain its a lot worst. This article gave me great insight i honestly thought the U.S banking system was the only ones that faced financial difficulties in that time.

This article is about Canada's debt, little did i know Canada had the 4th highest debt risk of debt crisis. This article explains how Canadians are working towards bettering this, but we still have a fair bit to go. Talks about increasing interest rates and changing the mortgage rules, with this. This effects me and my generation very much. i enjoyed reading this because it lets me know i still have a long way to go in my financial goals.

This article would seem to be discouraging to a lot of people, but this reading this article taught me a lot in a short period of time. Canada does have a long way to go to get out of this hole, considering were 4th and the top three countries are a lot bigger in size. This article lets me know the real world of finances is a scary place.

This video outlines the great demise of a
institute in the USA, Lehman Brothers investments folded. This marked a new low point for the market. soon after more banks start filing for bankruptcy. The Canadian banking system was sheltered a bit, but this sent the Canadian market down 20% putting Canada into a recession.

The things said in the video stand out to me because this was so unknown to me during time times it was happening. I am older now and getting to an age where im going to be purchasing a house soon. Watching this video let me know its a lot bigger of a choice than just finding the right home.

This video talks about the future in the Canadian economic situation .With the Canadian dollar continuing to fall and the rates going up it could enter Canada into a recession. Surprises me that so many other countries benefit from the Canadian dollar dropping.

This article message stands out to me because once again i did not have any knowledge about the Canadian economics being as bad as they are. This video gives a few pointers to what the Canadian government can do to help this situation. Invest outside of Canada and bring the profit back to Canada
