I found that thinking thoroughly about ideas, brainstorming, and discussing were the most useful tools in the activity. I used my 5 C's by mainly using collaboration and critical and creative thinking. I used collaboration mainly by discussing and helping, and I also used critical and creative thinking by participating in brainstorming ideas and thinking about what to write down. I also developed my C's because I find that the more I use them, the more they develop, and the more familiar I get with them. I think that the most difficult thing during the activity was the fact that Xintian and I were on a clock, and it took us a good while to actually start brainstorming ideas. Although we completed our activity in time, I believe that we could prevent something like this in the future, my partner of choice and I could start to brainstorm ideas sooner and write down anything we think of.

Using ideas and pointing out what things in our summer was very useful.

"How did you use or develop or grow your 5 C’s? I used Collaboration, to pair up with my partner and work together to do our activity. My partner and I used also communication by talking out what to do and write, and communication was also important in presenting our task to the class. And finally, We used Critical and creative thinking by deciding what to write and show to the class.

"What did you find most difficult during the activity?

I think my group and I did pretty well on this piece of work, I liked where we brainstormed ideas for different products as it required creativity. I found the fact that we had little information to work with to be a bit frustrating, and I wouldn't say I learned anything about myself, I do think I managed to meet my standards though. One thing I would like to improve on is communication as my group and I spent most of our time just thinking about ideas and not actually communicating much, however there's nothing I would say that I necessarily need help with. I think we did our work in a slightly different way to others as we spent more time thinking than communicating, which other groups didn't do.

This week, I turn in my reflective journal progress marker. So far, as I worked on this piece, I learned something about myself which is that I'm better than I thought I was when it comes to asking for help. I asked for help from my teacher to ensure that the padlet was meeting to right criteria, and what to improve on it. I've changed some ideas that I had on this subject as well. I didn't know that there would be a padlet, and it somewhat surprised me how similar AP is to English literary creation. As I look back on this piece, I feel like I could've provided a bit more information on these reflections, and that I could've gone more in-depth but otherwise there isn't much else that I would significantly improve on.

This first week back, my group and I collaborated and worked on our AP innov8. We added a few paragraphs, brainstormed ideas, and did some tweaking on some of our existing slides. We also got given a fictional character and something ironic that they're selling, we got Batman, and we had to act out a scenario of him selling a children's book. We used collaboration by working out who's playing who, as well as actually acting it all out. We also used critical and creative thinking. Advertising Batman selling a children's book is an ironic thing for him to do, so we had to think and plan about how to achieve this scenario, which took a little while.

In week 2, my group and I worked on our AP Innov8, and we started on another product for the same problem on a different slide presentation. Using critical and creative thinking, we brainstormed ideas on what our second product would be, and after some communication, we decided on what the other product would be. We did encounter some problems with the piece. We were given the 2nd innov8 as a new task unexpectedly, and we were unsure of the criteria. However, we solved the problem by asking for help and feedback from the teachers and using it to our advantage. There are a few things I still might need help with. Mainly just trying to understand the assessment better.

Obviously, it's a weird product, so my group and I need to collaborate and think about what our script will be in order to advertise our given product. After brainstorming and critically thinking about what to do, we were successful in our presentation. On Friday, we basically finished the first pitch for our AP innov8, and we are now nearing the completion of the second pitch. I think my group and I were quite productive and we made some good use of the five C's

On monday, I gave everyone a role on what they're going to be saying, and I had to make good use leadership for that. Overall we are finishing up our Innov8, the logo for the first pitch is done and the product design for the second pitch has started and is near completion.

We presented both of our pitches on Tuesday, and I think we did pretty well. Although there were some complications such us one of our group members being sick during some of the preparation, all 4 of us got to present to the classes together. However, one thing we could have done better is having more detailed presentations. As the layout that we used for both of them was a bit bland compared to the layout of other people's presentations.

Some of the other groups presentations showed strong aspects. When it comes to decorating their presentations and using creativity to make them look neat, but also eye-catching, many groups succeeded. A lot of groups also used persuasive techniques in their script.

Some less successful aspects in other groups presentations were that some of them took too long to finish presenting. There was a time limit of 5 minutes, and many groups didn't plan on reducing their presentation's time prior to presenting.

The Great ideas from other groups presentations were being creative with the images, and using unique persuasive techniques.

Students and teachers noticed things and gave us feedback about things we should fix in our presentation that didn't meet expectations. Such as the slides being bland and the script being on the screen as opposed to dot points.

I feel like my group struggled with communication and collaboration the most. Specifically communication. This is because my group members and I don't speak the same language, leading to miscommunications that set us back. Something we could do differently is to use translate more, as it helps get our messages accros.

Before the INNOV8 EXOP on the 20th of June, we need to make our presentation look prettier and more unique, use dot points instead of large text, print out a script, revise over the script, add images to our presentation, and go further into detail about our product.

Jianyu made the posters and business cards for the stall in our upcoming expo, I worked on our APinnov8 pitch, and Peter and Jason worked on the newly made elevator pitches. We made good use of the 5 C's, and there's nothing that I would do differently, as I believe we were very productive this lesson. We completed our elevator pitch on Tuesday. I gave each of my group members a line to say, and we did some practice in order to say these lines faster to make sure that we meet the appropriate time limit of 60 seconds. I think that we were more productive than we usually are this lesson, and we worked well, whilst making good use of the 5 C's. I noticed that we used more collaboration and communication than other groups usually would.

My communication has developed, more specifically being inclusive and taking responsibility for others. I had quite a lot of miscommunications between my group members as they didn't fully understand what I was saying. However, I found out a way to communicate almost fluently with them, and this has made me much better at communicating with people, and doing so in restricted circumstances.

My collaboration has developed significantly as well. I gave my group members equal roles in what to say or how to act in every presentation and activity that we did this semester. The amount of collaboration that I had to do has significantly strengthened my experience of it, thus developing my capability to do it.

Many presentations and performances were unique and involved a lot of creative thinking. This has made my creativity skills more developed over time.

The amount of brainstorming and idea-making Action project has required, has developed my critical thinking a lot more, and has made me better at coming up with ideas.

The skills that I have developed in Action project, and the knowledge I have developed, have enhanced my capabilities significantly. This will guide many important future experiences. My developed knowledge of capabilities will be crucial for important things such as finding solutions to future problems, communicating effectively when I need to, showing leadership when appropriate, and using strong collaboration to achieve goals. And to achieve my dream future job, I will have to use all of the 5 C's effectively, including collaboration and communication.

Challenges I have faced in this course include my group members and I not being able to speak the same language as they were international students, and having trouble understanding what to work on. I have overcome both of these by asking for help from a teacher.

I found out that being clear with instructions and speaking slowly yet clearly helped my group members understand what I was trying to say. Leadership is a character strength that I was capable of doing before Action project, and it was a benefit because in nearly every task this semester, I had to use leadership to help achieve the goals of not just myself, but my group as well. During these challenges, I was thinking about how I could solve them, and I felt a little bit anxious at the time. So I asked for help from teachers, and I whenever I was lost on how to overcome these challenges, I tried a different technique. Since then, I have felt much more confident in overcoming challenges in general, and I have felt less anxious about misunderstandings.

Strengthening my capabilities and overcoming challenges by finding different ways to overcome them, or asking for help, has genuinely developed my learning and me as a learner. For other learning experiences, many other courses have group projects, and I could use the skills of collaboration and communication from this course to help me achieve my goals in other courses.

My understanding of character strengths before AP was solid, and I knew the basic foundations of it. But now, I have a significantly better understanding of them, proving the development of my understanding.

At a personal level, I have gained more confidence in navigating challenges, and I have developed my understanding of how to communicate.

As an individual, the key things I have learned about myself through action project are that I can develop my capabilities better and quicker than I thought, that I can achieve my goals much quicker if I ask for assistance, and that I show more leadership and collaboration than I initially thought.
