Before 1970s the syllabus was traditional- simple lists of course topics, the focus was on content rather than student interaction

Between 1970s and 1980s- there was a shift to communicative language teaching- more learner-centered approach

1990s - Task Based LT- emphasis on learner-centeredness, task-based activities

2000s- Content and Language Integrated

Now- Technology-Enhanced Syllabus- incorporating technology into syllabus
