The story starts off with Rowley giving the reader an introduction. Of his parents himself the town he lives in etc. He tells us about his mom and dad who seem to not like Greg at all. Greg said to rowley that before rowley moved In to the neighborhood. That he owned the land so Greg took rowleys bike. Greg is not a nice kid he municipalities  and lies to rowley. Greg has a journal so rowley wanted to make his own so he called it, Diary of an awesome friendly kid. Greg didn’t like it though. Rowley tells the many stories of him and Greg’s shenanigans. Most of the time leavening one or the other in trouble sometimes even both of them.
