After that we got on our first flight at 7, in the span of 3 hours we spent our times eating, bonding, and getting our morning coffee, at that flight i met some PON athletes, i talked to one of them turns out he was a BJJ fighter, we talked about martial arts and i spent the rest of my times sleeping.

After we finished getting our luggages from the airport we went straight to the bus and go on a 2 hour long bus ride to get to Binjai, at Binjai we ate some masakan padang and go to Lapas Binjai

At Lapas Binjai, we met elders who are convicted of doing something wrong and it taught them a lesson, that we make mistakes as a human and we need to rely on god, after we finished our first service, we go to our hotel and rest

Thats day 1.

There we meet all the locals, they were so nice and even shared their life experiences, we were so blessed to be welcomed by them, we ate our lunch together with them and had a blessed evening.

From there we went to Panti Asuhan Gnape, in Panti Asuhan Gnape, many of us cried because we was moved on how they are so motivated in life regardless of what they lack off, we realized we are so blessed because of what we have.

I met so many amazinf people on Gnape, for example, Ronaldo, he is a football player, but hes not sure whether he should focus on his football career, so i prayed for him so he can be a star player, and even become a national player.

After these services, we’re too tired and hungry, and the skies are getting darker, so we went to nearby restaurants around our hotel, and we ate together, after that we went to our hotel and rest

Thats the end of day 2.

There we played games with them, ate our lunch with them, and even ate with them! But the funniest part is when we did “Lomba makan kerupuk” together, because thats when the most competitive yet comedic things start to happen, but we gotta say our goodbyes to them because we gotta go to Balige quick.

It was about 4 hours, and we got there we all slept pretty quick because it was very tiring.

Thats the end of day 3.

After that the groups of YIM Medan is seperated to do their jobdesk, there was an english lesson group, vape and cigarettes group, and many more! Me specifically, was in the game group, i helped set up the tables and chair and the goals for the football match between SMPN 3 Laguboti and UPHC.

It was a great match, ended 3-1 in the favor of UPHC, but it didnt end there, there was a bit of trashtalking involved but it was all friendly and we enjoyed our time there, its time to say goodbye to SMPN 3 Laguboti.

Then the fun part comes, Beach! We went to the Si Bul Bul Beach, it was the nicest beach of our whole trip because we only went to 2 Beaches, there we spent our time until 9 and we head back to our hotel to get our rest.

Day 4 Ends

There we split again and we got into our groups, since it was raining, it wasnt possible for The Games Team to do the other games except for the soccer match since it was the most exciting part.

Then we have to part ways with SMAN 1 Silaen because we gotta go to our next destination, Panti Tuna Netra Hephata! This is actually the saddest part of our mission trip, many student’s heart was moved including me, because in this panti, so many elders that “lack” are abandoned, we played their games because they couldnt play our games, and we danced together, overall, it was a great time and everyone enjoyed it, and we missed them. That was our last service and we head back to the hotel to rest.

Day 5 Ends

After Si Gale Gale we went to Parbaba Beach, but it was drizzling so it wasnt a really great time, and the tides was high, all we can do was banana boating, but im glad everyone enjoyed their time there, but somethings wrong, we were late for our ferry, because we were suppose to meet at the bus at 6, everyone got there at 6:20, it was a loong day so we had to wait for the next ferry at 11, next ferry came it was a long 1 hour ride, we got to our hotel at 2.

Day 7

Day 7 came we woke up early to pack our bags and went straight to Kualanamu Airport, there we cried together we bond together and we take pictures together, but we had a long wait, we got there at kualanamu at 12, flight was at 7, so we slept and we talked a little bit more, and we fly, by the time we arrived back at Soekarno Hatta Airport, we gave each other last goodbyes.
