First Difference

One of the differences between a teenagers brain and an adults brain is that we look at things differently. For example in the video the scientist did a test where they showed a series of pictures to both a teenager and an adult. After the test the results were very different between the two. The teenage saw the pictures opposite of how the adult saw the pictures.

Second Difference

The second difference is that teenagers have mood swings and adults don't. In our heads the whole world is falling apart and that we can't do anything right to make our parents happy. Since out parents don't have mood swings they don't understand what is going on. For example in the video there were clips of the parents and kid arguing, that is because the parents forget what is like to be a kid.

Third Difference

The third difference is that the teenage brain looks different than the adult brain. For example in one of the clips a lady thought that there wasn't a difference between the teen and adult brain. But when a scan was ran she was surprised to see the difference between the two brains. It was obvious that one brain was more mature than the other.

The fourth difference is that teenagers need a lot more sleep than adults. Even though adults have a lot more responsibilities, teenagers do a lot with their brain. If teenagers don't get enough rest now it could effect them in the long run. For example in one of the video clips it showed how the teenagers were very sleepy and how they weren't getting enough rest.

The fifth difference is that teenagers and adults have different priorities. This means what a teenager feels that is important is different compared to what an adult feels important. For example in one of the video clips it showed a boy forgetting to take out the trash. It was not his top priority to take out the trash.

Adults can compensate the differences by always being there for their child and allowing them to open to you. Also give them space and remember that you were also a teen once.
