When you hear the word, it sounds like a traffic intersection, which is kinda true. It is the meeting place of multiple different things. The thing about intersectionality is it helps put a label on why certain people receive the privileges or oppression the do.

Privilege and oppression go hand in hand. If one group has a privilege, there is another group that is suffering from the oppression. What happens when a person has two defining traits about them that cause oppression? This article was helpful to read to get a better understanding of how a person can have multiple sides of both privilege and oppression and how they correlate to one another. It reminds us that this is nothing new and a recurring thing that is happening. Largely based off of social media and how it impacts the younger minds of the world.

Having equal rights and opportunities is what this is all about, right? When it comes to a chance to go to college, or get a job. The word feminist has gotten a negative after taste because of the negative attention people give it to. fight this trend the feminist praxis movement has begun and it is amazing. It is a way of given a voice to those who didn't know they could speak before. Being able to say loud and proud that you are a feminist is a thing more people need in their lives. The more women that share their story, encourage even more people to share. It is a giving cycle that hopefully will continue on.
