Firstly you need to add the image to photoshop, and duplicate the layer and call this "B&W". With the B&W layer selected you need to then desatrate the image by going to the Image tab > Adjustments > Desaturate. Then you should again go to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and change the brightness to -34, and the contrast to 60. You should then duplicate this layer again and call it Map. With the Map layer selected you need to go to Filter > Blur > Guassian Blur and set this to 20. Once you have done this you need to go to File > Save As.. > and save your image as FaceDisplacement.PSD.

Firstly you need to deselect the blurred layer. You will then need to click the text tool and drag a box over the whole image. I have used a large speech to fill my box over the face. If you are struggling to get the text to fit you can go to Window > Paragraph and change the capitalization of the text (looks like "TT") and change the position and spacing of the text. Bare in mind the text bust be readable and fill the box! Once the box is full you need to select the text box and go to Filter > Distort > Displace. This will load a box for you to select the previously saved FaceDisplacement.PSD and press ok.

When this pastes the text you will need to click on the 'Background' layer and click the padlock to unlock it.
