1) cells are the basic structural unit for all organisms
2) plant cells contain a cell wall, chloroplast, and vacuoles
3) Membrane - This is the outer boundary of the cell. It allows some substances in and keeps others out. Mitochondria - This is where the cell gets its energy. In the human body, food we have digested reacts with oxygen in the mitochondria to make energy for the cell. Ribosomes - Ribosomes are like tiny factories that make different things the cell needs to function, like proteins. Nucleus - The nucleus is the brains of the cell. It uses chromosomes to instruct the rest of the cell what to do next. Cytoplasm - This is the stuff that fills up the rest of the cell. The other components of the cell float around in the cytoplasm. It's mostly water. Lysosomes - These guys clean up the place getting rid of waste and other unwanted substances that may get into the cell.
(CAN INCLUDE OTHERS, JUST A PARTIAL LIST)

4) Robert Hooke
5) Eukaryotic Cells - These cells are typically a lot bigger and more complex than prokaryotic cells. They have a defined cell nucleus which houses the cell's DNA. These are the types of cells we find in plants and animals.
6) means small organ. These organelles function to provide for the needs of the cell.
7) They work to bring in food supplies, get rid of waste, protect the cell, repair the cell, and help it grow and reproduce.
8) In order to provide plants with the strength necessary to support their weight, the cells within the plant have this hard cell covering. If a tree were soft and mushy like an animal, do you think they could stand strong and tall?
9) If an animal's body were made of plant cells, the animal would be very stiff and unable to move easily. Instead of cell walls, animals use other creative solutions to give them strength.
10) Answers given when you submit picture.
11) Varies.
12) When a group of cells perform the same function.
13) Examples:

Connective tissue, whichis found in blood and bones, serves to support body parts and bind them together.

Epithelial tissue (epithelium) is the type of tissue that lines organs and covers the body.

Muscle tissue — surprise! — is found in the muscles, which allow your body parts to move via the acts of contraction and relaxation.

Nerve tissue transmits impulses and forms nerves.

14) DNA is housed within the nucleus.
15)

Cell Wall - outer covering of the cell that protects the plant cell and gives it shape.

Vacuole - structure in a plant cell that provides support and participates in a variety of cellular functions including storage, detoxification, protection, and growth. When a plant cell matures, it typically contains one large liquid-filled vacuole.

Plasmodesmata - pores or channels between plant cell walls that allow molecules and communication signals to pass between individual plant cells.

16) motor neurons are up to 4.5 feet long
17) Cytoplasm and nucleus.
18) Answers vary.
19) Middle of the cell.
20) Answers vary.
21) Answers vary.
