On this day, soldiers from the United States, Britain, and Canada landed on the beaches of Normandy, France. Their goal was to stop the Nazis and help free Europe. It was a very big and dangerous mission, but the soldiers were brave. This day helped turn the war around and pushed the Nazis back.


Interesting Fact: D-Day was supposed to happen on June 5th, but they had to wait a day because of bad weather!
