Creating lesson plans that incorporate technology for students is more crucial now more than ever during this pandemic, and will now be used more in the future. In the book Disciplinary and Content Literacy for Todays Adolescents it states that a growing number of teachers, especially those new to the ranks are steeped in digital and social media.... instructional methods are reflecting these new times" , so creating online virtual lessons using different applications or being in person and at school and using things such as YouTube videos can help students become more engaged in the content and relate to the content (2017, Bronzo)

Having effective strategies to teaching students that learn in multiple ways is crucial for students success. Not all students learn the same, because not all students are the same. In Effective Instructional Strategies it states that "Successful teachers draw from a variety of teaching strategies (methods and prcdecures) in accomplishing their instructional purposes" and as a teacher it will help me become more successful at getting my content across to my students, and also creating an easier day to day job for by being able to successfully communicate content to students thru effective teaching strategies(2015, Moore).

Funds of Knowledge are the experiences one has culminated over a lifetime and how they have benefited that person.

My funds of knowledge come from many things, but the reason I became a Physical Eduction teacher was because the love for "the game" I have and how sports benefited my life. I enjoy sports so much and they have helped mold me into the man I am today, and I love them so much I wanted to do something that involved sports everyday. I wanted to submerge myself into a sport lifestyle. Teaching children to enjoy and love the games and sports is a major benefit of my future teaching job. In the book Effective Instructional Strategies it states that "to be an effective teacher, one must be knowledgable in four areas.... first they must know the content they are teaching" and I have played years competitive basketball, golf, baseball, soccer, football, and self defense and I look forward to using my experience and my funds of knowledge in my teachings with the future generations (2015, Moore). Here I am teaching kickball to students, it was a childhood favorite of mine and it was cool combining kicking and baseball into one fun lesson and the kids had a great time.

Creating assessments can help the teacher and the student understand where they stand in learning the content and teaching the content.

Assessments are important in the classroom for not only the students but teachers as well. Students need to know what they will be graded on, and how they all be graded. This way they know how to perform. Teachers need to create assessments so they can understand how well their teaching strategies are working, and if they need to change up anything because the strategy may not be working based on the assessments. They also help a teacher understand where the students are at in the content area, so they know what they need to teach in the upcoming lesson plans.

Application is one of the final steps in the learning process from my journey in college.

Using some of these strategies learned from my time at CSULB and in this credential program specifically, I have learned many different ways to apply "literacy" in my classroom. Here I am teaching in my start up business "PE Pals", where I teach students outdoor socially distant physical education activities. In the book Disciplinary and Content Literacy for Today's Adolescents it states that "teachers need to give multiple opportunities for students to eavesdrop on their thinking while negotiating text", so we have pictures as well as words for the students to look for on our scavenger hunt nature hike (2015, Bronzo). I have them use four different senses "touch, smell, sight, and hearing" to help them comprehend the environment. The student closest to me has a mild diagnosis of autism and he was having a great time using the pictures and words to help him search for different spring objects on our hike as well as being in a positive learning environment where all can be successful.
