For Essay #4 I will be making either an Op-ed on Queer Marriage equality. I am going to be discussing how in the current day people are trying to get the "Bill" that protects gay rights overturned. I am going to be digging into for whom it's important, which is pretty much anyone in the Queer community, who/why (it) is trying to get it overturned, and my take on it, which is for given I am part of the Queer community. I am also going to be talking about the Obergefell v. Hodges, the Supreme Court ruling that gave people of the Queer community the same marriage equality as heterosexual couples.

Thesis

8 years after the Obergefell v. Hodges Supreme Court ruling for LGBT marriage equality, people are still trying to fight against it. We need to stop people form trying to overturn this "Bill", This is not only for the Queer community now but for future generations to come.

This here website helps explain the Supreme Court Case and what it means. I feel like I will be able to use this to help people understand what the "Bill" is and what the meaning behind it. I can also use it to show people that if someone wanted to fight for this to be something, that means they care about it and that it has meaning behind it.

Here is an article talking about what is happening today about how people are wanting to overturn the "Bill". I can use this to make people understand what position the world has come too. Along with showing how the lines between "Church and State" are being blended.

Here is a book Titles "The Battle Over Marriage" and it has stories and examples of what people have had to do to be see for their marriage. I'm going to use this by trying to connect to people on an emotional level to show that the Queer Community are people too and they just want to get their marriage see as legal.
