Hi everyone! I am Ally Fleischer, the departmental academic advisor and teaching assistant (TA) for this class. You will have lots of interaction with me throughout your program, whether it is during the program of study approval process, employee education program (EEP) registration, or during classes like this one and Science Communication.

Outside of my role, I enjoy cheering on various Gators sports teams, taking my dog, Ingy, to dog sports, and exploring the festivals in and around Alachua County.

While this section will not be 250+ words (I will leave that to you all as the students), I want to emphasize that we expect students to practice agency, accountability, and strong writing throughout their graduate program. Success comes from taking ownership of your learning and working to develop essential skills, whether that is refining your writing, building time management strategies, or improving communication with peers and professionals. Graduate school requires many tools, and I’m confident each of you has what it takes to thrive.

Please reach out with any questions!

Go Bugs! Go Gators!
