Photography has become one of my favorite artistic mediums over the course of the last few years. I mostly started in 8th grade (2022), where I was using a basic point and shoot camera. I realized just how creative I could be when holding a camera in my hands. I entered my first photography contest in August 2022 where I entered a basic photo of a baseball on a dugout bench. That simple photo ended up sparking a passion. I had won 1st place that year in my category and have gone on to enter nearly 20 photography contests since! Pictured above is one of the accomplishments that I am most proud of, winning Best of Show at my local county fair out of hundreds of entries.

The truth is entering competitions can be scary but can be so rewarding - even if you don't always win. You'll find the journey is often worth much more than a final score you'll receive.

An artwork that I love is our balloon art tractor.

I still look and cannot believe that we created this, and for it to be slightly bigger than a real tractor is amazing to me. This is our largest balloon that we (Zoe and I) have created yet. The original plan was for the tractor to hang from the ceiling, so there is also detail underneath you cannot see. The best compliment was this year at the Farm Show, someone entered a picture of our tractor in the photo contest. This took about 3 car trips to deliver, and then assemble into 1 piece, and was 100% self-standing.

This is a piece that made me fall in love with art more from a few years ago. What I would probably consider not to be one of my greatest works, creating this barrel of monkeys out of the same type balloon in under 7 minutes, I really surprised myself. Since this was for a competition at an online convention, I was really surprised that during the awards ceremony I was announced as the winner and I was so surprised and shocked!! As a fellow balloon artist messaged us and said "you can now advertise yourself as international award winning balloon artists" which is absolutely true! Now combined Zach and I have over 15 international awards for balloons. What is even more incredible was last year we were able to meet all of our balloon friends from all over the world at a international balloon convention which was amazing!

Here's to showing how much of a nerd I am!!

This piece is a more random and funny piece I made but I'm still in love with it! This art piece is from a character from Deltarune a game which admittedly I adore. This character is one that really resonates with me on a personal level and the theming of this piece actually goes back a long time!!

So flashback to around 1 year ago exactly (weird coincidence the timing lol) I started a fun little challenge where I took my favorite characters and made them in fruit themed outfits :D! It was one of the pieces I was proud of for SO long! As I was drawing one day the inspiration struck me like a blow to the face 'blueberry' it said XD and well I listened! I am so happy with how it came out I tried something new and the outfit design and the proportions (while not perfect) are pretty good for my standards! The colors felt home-y and cool and it's a piece I still am happy to look at! It's nothing dazzling or deep but it makes me happy.

With my resurgence into art recently my journey has come a long way and I'm happy to report this as a key part in my timeline as an artists. Sometimes its hard to appreciate my own work... it was really hard to pick any piece to share today but I'm so happy to show you all the TV Star dressed as a blueberry!

It looks a little crooked because I'm bad at taking pictures of it, but it was one of the first drawings I did in a long time that made me remember how much I loved drawing. I had been dealing with art block so I wasn't drawing much, and when I did, it never turned out how I wanted it. Then I drew this piece which reminded me why I started drawing to begin with. I love it, and plan on painting this at some point.

This was just one of the many pieces that made me fall in love with art. It looks a bit low effort and simple, perhaps even a little off but I was very proud of it back then.

When I was maybe in 5th-6th grade, I made this on IbisPaint (which is an app I've been using for a little over 7 years). During the time of this art piece, I wasn't all that new to digital art but more new to drawing inanimate objects or nature related things. Around this time, I wanted to try something new such as experimenting with brushes I've been meaning to use but never knew where or how to use them properly as well as to just try my best with whatever my mind came up with. This allowed me to have a better grasp of what the brushes I used were good for. I went into this with no sketches, just an idea formed off of what I liked seeing in nature. After about a month I started to draw a lot more frequently. I now try to share my art with others every now and then even if its not often.

My art has definitely improved since this piece but this reminds me of just one of the reasons I like art since it just goes to show you can make anything with just an idea.

This is an art piece I absolutely adore! I created it last year when I took a digital art course. Although it's just a sketch, nothing crazy—this piece actually inspired me to continue my digital art journey and to improve my skills. I've started studying more often, and I'm starting to learn from masters. I wouldn't have gotten this far without this illustration, and I know it sounds crazy, but it illustrates something I'm really passionate about, and I'm so grateful I took that art course to this day. Each day I'm practicing so I can become a professional artist, and I can look back on this sketch and say, "Wow, this was really my beginning."

While I had only been attending the club for a few weeks I was having a lot of fun with the wood burning project we did. I had never done wood burning before and found it super fun. I added in some colors later using watercolor paint and was featured as a piece in the schools art show! It was not perfect, but I was extremely happy.

I found that I had fallen in love with art of every medium, brush strokes, pencil lines, clay. Art is what keeps me going and I love it deeply.

I don't have a picture of the painting but its for the young American patriotic art contest. My grandparents are veterans and have done a lot. The painting puts a focus on there platoon numbers from basic training. there is a sunset over a ocean since they where marines. There are 4 stars in the sky for my great grand parents since my grandpas dad was a ww2 vet! I am putting final touches on the painting and then contacting the vfw in my town

(Didn't add the story before haha)

This piece is one I drew while I was in the middle of a style change. This was one of the first drawings I was actually proud with during that style change! It's also one of my first art pieces that I started playing around with more animalistic designs, since I'm not a person who draws that kind of thing a lot. I really like this drawing since I think it's a great mark for improvement in my art as well as it's a character I absolutely adore. I was introduced to pressure by my brother while I was getting through a break up, and sebastian was a character I loved drawing during that time (and still do!) So this drawing really does just make me happy :)

This drawing is kind of recent. I was working on my character sketch's. I love this piece a lot because it healed my soul a lot. I was struggling with finding myself and centering myself in the world. As I have not actually played Five nights at Freddys. I have experimented with a lot of the characters as my heart comes out on the paper for any of the fnaf charcters.

This is one of the pieces I'm most proud of! It's a commission piece for one of my friends, and I feel like I really outdid any of my previous work. I typically don't use references, but I did for this piece, and the difference is insane! Being able to make things for and give to my friends is something that makes me so happy, so having this opportunity something I will always be grateful for.❤️‍🩹
