how psychological techniques are used to increase business success

the psychological techniques the are used to increase business success are, emotion, this is a good technique to use as playing with peoples emotions can change their state of mind and could end up in them making impulse purchases, this is used to increase the success of the business as it means people may feel more emotionally connected to items, making them more likely to buy it, meaning the business are selling a lot more items.
Another psychological technique that is used to increase businesses success is, interest, this is good because if you spike the interest of shoppers/customers they are more likely to buy products and tell their friends or family about it, meaning the brand could gain more engagement, resulting in the businesses success.
Lastly a psychological technique used to increase a businesses success is imagination. this is especially a good technique to use when a business is marketing items towards children. because if a child is watching an advert or walks past a stand of toys and the stand or advert is bright, contains cartoons and so on, they are more likely going to try and convince their parents to buy them items, which in result increases sales for the business, overall adding to the success of the business.

tangible techniques
this is when you are giving a customer an actual object. this normally engages in the consumers emotions and makes the brand more memorable and more something they are going to remember and tell their friends and family about. tangible marketing can build customer loyalty because it makes them think that you care about them, have their needs in mind and appreciate them visiting the business, which would encourage them to come back.

Intangible Techniques
intangible is something that cant be held or touched, its not an actual object. a example of an intangible technique would be shops that play music, study's have shown that shops playing music in the background, have seen that customers spend more time shopping, in result, spend more money. another example of a intangible technique would be, carts or baskets, a study has shown that people carry a basket is more likely to make quick and rash purchases because the basket can cause strain on them. so in turn the person may end up relating the store to impulse and useless purchases and may not return. lastly another technique of intangible marketing is, the sent effect. sent has been known to affect the perception of quality, meaning that a lot of stores make their items no matter what they quality smell nicer, as people have related good smelling items to better quality products.

a technological technique that is used to increase the success of a business is, interactive video, an example of this would be, mac cosmetics recently launched a 'try on' mirror in their stores, which allows customers to try on their makeup items without actually having to put it on their face. this can increase the success of a business as it can draw in the customers to play around and be interactive with the business, which can create brand awareness and could result in more people coming to the business which could help increase the overall success of the business.
Another technological technique is
Mobile Integration, this is when a business gets customer to for example to sign up to their online newsletter to be notified of deals and new in items, once a customer agrees the business with be able to send them advertisements that are catered to them, making the customer more likely to buy things if they relate to them more which in the long run can make the business more successful.
lastly another technological technique which can contribute to the success of the business is
Endless Aisles this is when a business may be out of stock of an item that a customer may want, but the store order the product in for the customer that they can go and collect from the store when it arrives. this is good as the business still make the sale, the customer still gets the product, even though it was out of stock i the store. this can increase businesses success as it means that even if the product is not in store they can still offer to order it in, which the customer could go around and tell people about this creating a good brand reputation.

how different visual merchandising and display techniques contribute to the success of new look

a display technique that contributes to the success of new look is, product segmentation. this is good as it means like for example a man shopping in new look can just go straight to the men's section and find what they are looking for without have to search for the men's clothes within the different departments of the store. this could also increase the chances of customers buying more, if the shop is laid out clearly and easy to navigate.
another technique that can increase new looks success is, store fixtures. if new look have a dump table/bin in the middle of the store containing things like sale items, people are more likely to be drawn to look through it as it may stand out and catch their eye as it could be a different way than the rest of the items are displayed. this can contribute to the success of the business as it can be eye catching and draw people to it.
you can also see this from the customer reviews, one customer says , 'Products are of a good quality especially for the price and their next day delivery annual pass makes ordering so easy!' another customer also said 'New Look in Ex mouth have recently started going the extra mile. Not only do they now have a new group for Locals to view their latest range of clothing, they are going over an above for people who aren't able to get there during office hours. Leanne was extremely helpful with finding all the right sizes and also advising on certain clothes types'. this shows that people are seeing new looks displays and they are effecting the purchases the people make, meaning the displays have drawn people in and made them want to purchase from them.

according to new looks 2015 annual report, new looks Revenue increased by £46.5 million to £1,414.5 million +4.0% . 91% of the UK’s female shoppers recognize the New Look brand.

how different visual merchandising and display techniques contribute to the success of Louis Vuitton

a display technique that contributes to the success of Louis Vuitton is product placement, product placement is when a company pays a TV program to get the actors to use their products in the show. this is a good technique because if someone sees on TV that one of their favorite is, for example carrying a Louis Vuitton bag then it could encourage them to buy it. the most popular use of product placement is when an luxury brand, like Louis Vuitton gift their products to well known celebrity's, because if the celebrity's fans see them walking around with the specific items it will encourage the to purchase aswell.
another visual merchandising and display technique that contributes to the success of Louis Vuitton is visual story telling. this is when a brand, normally through their shop windows and a lot in adverts, when they are using he display space to tell a story to the customers, a good example of this would be is when, lets say a garden center, set up a santas grotto and decorate the who store in like fairy lights and Christmas themed items that they sell in store, this will mean as people are walking around they may be more likely purchase items if they are displayed in an eye catching way. this is a good technique to use as it can catch the consumers attention very well and draw them in to want to know more about the products on display. this contributes to the success of the business as it means that people will remember the display more, and that can lea to people to tell others about it, and then they may visit the store to see for themselves which could end in them making a purchases.
these techiniques also contribute to the succsess of the business as you can tell by the customer reviews with one person saying 'I have the artsy bag. There was a small hole in the corner of the bag. I take very good care of my bags and this was bothering me. I brought it to Louie Vuitton in Sak’s at the Walt Whitman Mall. The woman who helped me couldn’t have been nicer. She took photos of my bag and called me today to say, they have deemed the bag faulty and asked me to come in and they replaced my bag. The best customer service ever!!! Thank you!!' and another saying 'Never a bad experience. Thank you.'. this shows that people are very happy and satisfied when going to the store or shopping online, even when there is an issue with the products the business always calm and eager to help as much as they can. making the company have very loyal customers, which in tern is one of the reasons they are so succesessful.

Louis Vuitton was the world's 19th most valuable brand, and was said to be worth over $19 billion.
Louis Vuitton, one of the worlds most luxury brands, recorded revenue of €42.6 billion in 2017, an increase of 13% over the previous year.
