Eng III Period 1 | NASP Center - Teenagers and Chores by Christina Zacharias

Login to Padlet. Using 5 vocab. words from your [Vocab. 681-690 set {travail --> colloquy}], answer the following questions about "Teenagers and Chores." (1.) Why should teenagers contribute to their households?
(2.) What's wrong with letting parents take care of everything (ex: cleaning after everyone/pets, paying rent/mortgage/bills, cooking meals, taking out trash, doing laundry, maintaining the patio/yard, washing the car, disciplining kids, making sure homework is done, etc.)?
(3.) What does having chores teach teenagers? What does having chores/taking responsibility teach you as a young adult?
(4.) Name the chores you help your parents/guardians with and explain why you help out.
(5.) How can you contribute more around the house? Can you commit to consistently helping your parents/guardians maintain your living space (keeping your room clean, entertaining/cleaning after your pets, completing your homework everyday)? // Reminder: your parents work to provide for you, buy you the things you need, and put you through private education to ensure you are learning in a safe environment, and it is only fair if you do your part now that you are a young adult (even if you have a maid/even if you are well off).

1.Teenagers can be bigots when it comes to requesting for them to do simple chores, but should contribute to their households because most teens do not bring in enough (or any) income to maintain their own home, in which their parents are the ones making money for their children to be able to live in their own house.
2.Parents typically do not (or should not) take care of everything in a teenagers life. This can bring a teen to goad towards getting paid or getting a reward for simply not doing anything at all.
3.Working or doing chores at home is an effective way to help teens gain a verve to help understand the values of earning anything in life, even with something as simple as chores, and by even helping to correlate a better relationship with their children.
4.In my house, I help to set up tables for dinner and occasionally cook. I typically also take out the garbage or go to pick up the mail. Walking the dogs is also a typical household job of mine.
I or any other teenager can help contribute to our houses by simply asking your parent or guardian what you can do to help around the house. That is the easiest way to inspire yourself to do work. It's also a great colloquy to converse with your family.

1. For a teenager contribute to their household can be a "painful" travail. The thing is that teenagers should do their households anyways, because it helps and show them how to take care of themselves.
2. If parents took care of everything and teenagers didn't have to do their chores, all the adolescents will be exhilarate. But teenagers have to learn that they have to start doing some things by themselves.
In my point of view, parents should give some shores to their children because in a couple of years they are going to be adults, so they have to start acting like them.
3. Give teenagers some chores to do is a vacuous decision because they teach them to take responsibility of their own stuff.
4. I help my parents with the laundry and I am in charge of making the breakfast. I help them with these because they have others things to worry about and I thing it's important to help them.
5. When the food isn't ready or the house isn't clean teenagers use to unfairly cavil his parents. Instead of asking them what they can do for helping more and show verve when they are doing their chores, they just complain about the fact that things aren't done.
I thing I could help my parents to clean up the house or to do some other meals.

Everyone in the household should team up and contribute to the stability of their house.
2. It is not fair to make your parents do all of the work because much like us they do their travail daily.
3. Having chores helps us prepare for the responsibilities that come with living alone or outside of the house later on.
4. I am an perfectionist in the sense that whatever I start I have to finish and it has to be perfect. After I finish chores I always feel so exhilarated. My mother also pays me a large sum to organize her extremely messy closet because she has so many clothes and shoes.
5.

1. Teenagers should contribute to their households because their parents could be working and need some extra help around.
2. The problem with letting parents do everything is that later on the kids will have to do the stuff the parents do and they won't know how.
3. Chores teach responsibility to teenagers and not to be so lazy. When they have responsibility they can finally contribute to society and will have a good future ahead of them.
4. I help with driving my sister to dance and picking up food for my family.
5. I can contribute more around my house by doing more homework and doing other little tasks they ask me to do.

1. Teenagers should do travail to their own home. It can make them so much happier and feel more productive. When your done cleaning or doing chores you feel like you had a weight lifted off your shoulder.
2. Although you may feel like chores are such a cavil responsibility, you should still do them. If your parents are the only people doing the work then your not learning anything. When you are living by yourself you will accomplish nothing and you will need to be correlate to actually get your work done.
3. When your a teenagers, doing chores is a verve experience. You learn so much down the road as adult hood approaches you will already be well experienced alone. As a young adult, not knowing how to do simple tasks can be a embarrassing task. You may need someone to goad you through the ropes but you should know how to do it.
4. When I do chores around the house I help my mom clean up the kitchen or I take care of my dogs. Small tasks like these can actually be fun and small colloquy starters.
5. Around the house, I can help my mom cook more and clean more. I should start doing the dishes and I should start helping to do my laundry.

1. contributing to your household is important because teenagers live there too and it would not be fair if the parents were the ones in charge of always cleaning it
2. Parents have a lot o f responsibility and get get overwhelmed with the things they need to do, so taking a little slack off of them can always be a big impact for them
3. Having chores teaches teenagers responsibility. it teaches them that their parents are not always going to be there to baby them and they need to learn how to do some basic life thing on their own
4. I usually help my mom by doing the dishes and sweeping the floor. This can be a time consuming thing and I know that doing these things for my mom can really make her happy and less stressed out
5. once in a while just buy some household things that are running low or some flowers for the house. Doing any little small chore lie putting the dishes away or just tiding up the house can make a big impact.

1. Teenagers should contribute to their households because it teaches us responsibility. Also some teens apparently might end up finding chores quit exhilarating. Also chores don't require you to have to use cerebration because they are pretty straight forward.
2. If parents take all of the work in the household it isn't teaching the teen to be ready for life alone. You can't just rely on a talisman to get your through life you need to learn responsibility.
3. Having chores teaches teens that there are always somethings that just have to be done. Someone who knows how to do nothing can seem very vacuous.
4. In my household I clean my room, do my laundry, wash the cars, and take out the garbage.
5. I can help contribute more by asking if anything else needs to get done around the house. I don't have to go home and travail but i should ask to help out more around the house.

Kids tend to cavil when their parents assign them to chores but if parents always do it for them, children aren’t going to be reliable on having clean habits when their older.

3.

1. This topic is not brought up in colloquy, but I believe teenagers should contribute to their households because it is good practice for future independence.
2. There are problems correlated with allowing parents to take care of everything, such as making a child helpless when he or she goes out on his or her own.
3. Chores help prevent teenagers from being vacuous when it comes to yard work and chores. It teaches a teen responsibility and strategic skills.
4. I help my parents with all forms of travail yard work, cleaning, car work, and any kind of handy man job there might be at my house. I help out because I enjoy making things to perfection.
5. I could help out more by being more consistent in doing a couple chores that i never have any verve to complete willingly.
