The possession of high aptitude of these abilities will make the execution of skills easier.

These abilities can include:

Reaction Time -> The ability to react quickly after receiving a stimuli, and making a movement.

A sporting example - Would be a reaction to the oppositions shot in Padel. This reaction time would be really quick due to professionals at this sport playing at a quick pace.

Co-ordination -> The ability to use different parts of the body in a particular sequence, to complete action or the performance of a skill.

A sporting example - Would be a Padel player hitting the ball during an intense quick-paced game, as juan lebron hand eye co-ordination to hit the ball where he wants it.

Balance -> The ability to maintain stability while performing a skill.

A Sporting example- Balance will be needed within Padel as when changing direction good balance will be needed for juan to stay on his feet and move around the court as quick as possible.

Gross motor abilities are associated with large body movements, an example being running. It is often involved in a child's upbringing when controlling and using the body.

Strength

Ability for a group of muscles to exert force to create movement. A sporting example being a deadlift using the legs to exert force to pick the bar up.

Example

This would be key within padel as strength in the legs would help Juan move around the court as quick as possible. Aswell strength in the shoulders will be needed, to hit the ball at a high pace and make it difficult for his opponent to turn the shot.

Speed

The ability to cover the amount of time in the quickest amount of time. A sporting example being a sprinter running over 100 metres.

Sporting example

Lebron will use this when moving around the court to return his opponents shots, for example running from the back of the court to the net to return a drop shot.

Flexibility

The ability of muscles and joints to reach the maximum range of movement. A sporting example could be a gymnast doing the splits within a floor routine.

Sporting Example

Reaching for Shots-Juan will often need to stretch or lunge for low balls, wide angles, or awkward bounces off the glass.

Flexibility in his hips, hamstrings, shoulders, and spine allows Juan to reach further without straining or losing balance.

Mobility and Agility-Good flexibility improves overall mobility, making it easier to move quickly, change direction, and recover smoothly after each shot. This is key for juan when in fast-paced net exchanges or when responding to unpredictable wall rebounds.

Injury Prevention-Flexible muscles and joints are less likely to tear or strain, especially under sudden movements. Common padel injuries (like groin pulls, hamstring strains, or lower back issues) are often linked to limited flexibility. Juan must have good flexibility in his muscles as he is shown to be fully fit on each game.

Perceptual ability involves the interpreting and making use of the information the body receives from its senses. This could be done using things from the environment using senses you can gather through sight, hear and feel

A sporting example -

Reading Opponents

Skilled players like Juan Lebron use perceptual cues like body position, racket angle, and shot preparation to judge where the ball will go. This anticipation gives them a crucial time advantage to prepare their shot or move into position. The better juan is at this the better player Juan will become.

Tracking the Ball

Padel also involves rapid ball movement, rebounds off glass walls, and tight angles. Good perceptual ability like juans will help him track the ball accurately, even after unexpected bounces or spin changes, reducing reaction errors.
