That we needed to be more efficient with the time we need to implement the method. To start the implementation as soon as possible, cause we left everything for the last months of implementation and it was very intense with performances almost everyday.

that the whole process (research, collecting experiences, creating the scenario, rehersing and so on) takes a lot time, especially because it involves working with people who have different schedules - in the end the process for forum was a bit rushed.

and for the legislative, i wish i had known that it would be very difficult to work in universities, and to create a plan in which we had more time for advocacy

mostly this will be about working with partners from arab countries, the most frustrating thing was having to terminate the cooperation with the Jordanian partner, and the other stressful thing was related to the money transfer in Palestine, so it would have been nice maybe to have some better or faster solutions in order to avoid losing a partner/delaying activities for another one

It was nice seeing volunteers getting more confident and involved. When they really understood the idea, they brought so much energy to the activities.

The methodology is clearly powerful, both volunteers and students loved it, I wish I would have planned more time, more before and after activities meeting to get more from the groups

I believe that putting everything on the table before a partnership is a must - Especially when working with Arab countries - Most people outside Arab countries do not understand what they go through in order to do their tasks - This can clear up or at least give a heads up to what kind of problems might arise mid-project in order to avoid them

Wish I have known how hard it would be to have them involved from the beginning to the end. And that I should’ve find a bigger group of volunteers to make sure we had enough people to cover for each other in case of unavailability for a performance.

this is very difficult, because you have to fit everyone's schedule, some get lost on the way even if they seemed really committed, and it is hard to keep them engaged for two years (or even one year, for one practice phase). i wish i had known how to keep them engaged - but it's not necessarily something we could have done, because people start new jobs or new projects that have noting to do with the motivation of being involved

The lack of commitment local volunteers have. At the time being, This generation is leaning towards money making and having their minds set at "success" which in their case is dependent on how much money a person has. When they hear the word "volunteer" they run away.

Working with volunteers students was a plus for many reasons: they are studying related topics, they have interest in what we are doing, but we underestimated the busy and sometimes unreliable schedules they have, it was a struggle to organize meetings and activities.

It was disappointing to see how many volunteers were motivated to participate in the trainings, but how difficult and impossible it became for them to join because of visa issues. We were confronted with this challenge many times, and it made equal participation hard to achieve

the victim blaming attitudes are very popular amongst youngsters, even if they have been victims themselves. when working on toxic relationships between teenagers, there was some disagreement (on several occasions) on whether the scenes we presented were problematic or not, as some of the teenagers thought they were normal or justified in some situations. it is quite difficult to be able to facilitate your theatre process and also tackle this issue

we knew we were going to work on a sensitive topic with a very young audience, was surprising to see how involved they have been, how emotional it was and, in the schools with a very diverse environment, how deep the discussions went on racism and discrimination, revealing to us the need to talk about that, being heard and find a way out.

Again, I wish we have had more time to spend with them!

That we have to be very aware of the topics we discuss and the people we discuss it with to not open unwanted wounds in the audience. Or to make sure we have someone capable of dealing with them professionally (like a therapist).

the tension that built since the start of the project has been bullshit in my opinion.

It's not about pointing fingers - it's about working and getting things done up until the end. People need to understand that other people will be late - will be unprofessional and will deliver shit deliverables. WE JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT and not blame or point fingers because at the end of the day we're partners not colleagues nor work friends. The only thing we can do is report or not work with this person.

I wish I had known how much advocacy work relies on patience and consistency; it is truly a long term process, even when you are trying to achieve simple things. It's not something you can do quickly and get it off your checklist. It’s also very hard to advocate for something when you keep getting sent from one person or organization to another, and when no one seems willing to take responsibility or offer real support
