However, some of the described benefits are simplistic and not always true: (1) Anonymity is the opposite of bonding with fellow online learners. You can't sanitize all of your personal information and expect others to feel as though they know you. (2) While it is certainly cheaper for the reasons suggested, it is not as if childcare is not a concern. You cannot expect to participate fully in an online class while young children are in your care. (3) Continuous content availability is certainly an advantage, but it's not as if we have the time to go over lengthy videos if we didn't take proper notes or learn the content the first time. I am not trying to criticize online learning - on the contrary, I am very glad technology is being used in this field. Accessibility to education is extremely important.
