The nervous system receives signals from the body, it interprets them and sends a response. 

#2 The main organs of the nervous system are the spinal chord, the brain and the nerves. 

#3 One example is if you were cooking and you picked up a hot pot. The nervous system sends a signal to the brain to drop the pot. Another example could be if there was a dangerous situation like a stranger. The nervous might send out a "fight or flight" message to the body to run to safety.
