These trees can grow to heights of up to 150 feet tall. They are beautiful trees with branches that cascade around it similar to that  of the spokes of a bike. (its actually quite cool when your starring up from the base of the tree). They have longer slender cones that are not prickly. 
(gymnosperms are actually my favorite type of terrestrial plants because they remind me of growing up as a kid and throwing the pine cones "naked seeds" at each other during play fights.

As the earths temperature  continues to rise the tundra biome faces more and more destruction. The biome which is characterized by its inhospitably cold climate thin soil and distinctively well adapted fauna is being affected tremendously by humans.
The melting of permafrost ( the frozen tops of soil) has lead to the destabilization of the landscape which can lead to erosion and the displacement of plants. 
The melting of entire ice sheets is also an issue that plagues the tundra. These large walls of ice reflect the sun and prevent the earth from warming to rapidly but as these shelves continue to melt less heat is being reflected. Not only does this affect the Tundra but also adds to the continued rise in sea level which could lead to more coastal cities being underwater in the future.  The loos of a biome such as the Tundra would be catastrophic for every organism on earth.

Humans started to become more antiquated with farming, which was extremely different from their pervious ways of getting food which included hunting and foraging. While the  increased access and control of the food they ate allowed them sustain a more stable and predictable life. It also meant they could remain in one place for longer periods of time. People were able to develop communities, new technologies , and cultures all their own. Which was great but their dependency on crops meant crop failures could devastate entire villages leaving the people starved and the hunter gathers before them had more varied diets  and thus healthier diets.

Water that could be used in other ways . And  in order to combat this surplus of water we have to reshape the environment to accommodate the agricultural needs for water.

Because of the large amount of practical uses  as well as its relatively easy access. Penicillin is an antibiotic that was discovered by accident and is antibacterial. It works by preventing the cell from developing the bacteria cell's cell wall. It is derived from mold specially ( Penicillium genus,) The ground breaking discovery of penicillin would lead to the search for more antibiotics and thus was the catalysts that set the search ablaze. Both the picture and the link attached showcase a world that will be unlivable for all organisms but especially humans, if we do not take take the necessary steps now to combat the destruction of the plant and the environment as we know it. Humans are so smart yet we don't fully comprehend or accept the impact we have on this world. No other species is as destructive or intuitive as us and we have to make amends for the the years of chaos we've caused. That starts with educating ourselves and implementing sustainable practices big and small into our everyday lives as well as holding the government and big companies responsible for their the environmental atrocities.
