The 4C and 1V elements of 21st century skills are assessed namely communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creative thinking and values. 

For a short period of study (14 weeks), i planned a mini project based assessment. So that i may assess their critical and  creativity during they plan their works. Then i may assess their communication skill while they presenting their task. Next, the collaborative skills i can see via their works and their peer assessment report. Then the value on how they appreciate their work and spread the value to other via digital communication can be assessed through their presentation and the way how they communicate to the world.

Tendency to cheat?

I have tried to move on from the more traditional assessment methods to a more needs based assessment approach, especially due to the remote learning method as well as students being isolated from each other physically.  Thus my assessments currently require my students to actively engage with each other through collaborations online and use online resources to check their understanding. 
Characteristics of students:  the undergrad students seem to be more skilled at IT and engage more online, whereas the PG students seem to prefer a lecture based approach.  I believe that my assessments make it difficult for them to cheat for most of their assessments.

Saya gunakan penulisan porfolio projek untuk tugasan berkaitan projek service learning. Masalah pada awalnya adalah pelajar tidak tahu menulis portfolio kerana biasanya mereka diberikan tugasan bertulis dengan topik2 yang telah diberikan oleh pensyarah. Kelebihannya adalah kurang masalah copy & paste sebab setiap pelajar menulis berasaskan  projek masing2.
Tetapi pelajar juga komplen/ comment sebab tak biasa buat

1. Pelajar menulis pengalaman sendiri berkaitan projek dan ini memberi peluang kepada saya menilai banyak karektor pelajar seperti keinginan untuk memberi sumbangan, teamwork, kemahiran sosial dan komunikasi
2. Pelajar dapat belajar daripada komuniti tentang kehidupan sebenar yang boleh dikaitkan dengan ekonomi seperti bagaimana usaha komuniti yang terlibat dengan perniagaan kecil menghadapi situasi pandemik Covid 19. The aspect of lifelong learning and relevance is noticeable to equip the students with up-to-date techniques and information on the subject of learning. The 21st century pedagogies are a series of higher-order skills, abilities, and learning dispositions that have been identified as being required in this era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. I emphasised on heutagogy (self-determined learning), paragogy (peer learning), and cybergogy (cyber learning) with my students.

 

Your Students’ Characteristics: The students tend to look for something easy but interesting. Continuous caring and listening to their feedback shows that we are empathy to them. Students seem to prefer individual activities such as quiz rather than group activities during the remote/distance learning condition.

- in this course, students are supposed to produce a good legal opinion writing in which a layman can actually undertsand the legal language used
- it seems difficult to my students, they were seems influenced by the 'law' language, legally & formally used in their opinion writing.

Currently, I'm using padlets , edpuzzle, online quiz, online presentation to assess students communication skills, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Presentaion skills and their understanding on the lecture contents. Mainly padlet to encourage the student to freely share their thought and ideas on the discuss topic with their surrounding. 


Students Characteristics 
Most of the student are not responsive during the class. Among the main skills that I used in my assessments are critical thinking, analytical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and communication. Some of my students are from the read/write type, they prefer written text, emphasize text-based input and output, enjoy reading and writing. While some I can remember to have aural type, they prefer explanation over text besides prefer to listen and verbalize.

-A202 is my second semester class in UUM as i just joint UUM as lecturer. I teaches BPMG3133 Warehouse Management with 6 assessments - 2 quizzes, 2 individual assignment and 2 group assignment. Digital skill, entrepreneurs skill, interpersonal skills and leadership skill are among the evaluation under this course by using rubrics. Students are able to conduct all the assessment positively even they faced challenges in completing it. Ideally i would prefer to give them case study, video review and chat box discussion during and after class. As new lecturer in UUM, my challenges are to adapt with new environment, new level of students and new types of teaching and earning process.

My Student's Characteristics
So far, my students fairly active in my class, in order to let them active i have to call upon and give question and activities. They are creative, have talent and have the characteristics of 21st century student s. Students prefer to have activities, kind of simple caring towards them, so far they never complaints and tendency to cheat is beyond lecturer's control, but i trust them.
