The ISD frequently states that the CTE program is at or over capacity with CTE students and more on a waiting list. How many currently enrolled students in Joshua ISD students are approved in each CTE category? Non-approved? Level 1 and 2? Level 3 and 4? Can you explain how much funding Joshua ISD receives for each student that is enrolled in a non-approved and approved CTE program? I believe it is the Basic Allotment multiplied by the following:
1.1 for a NON-APPROVED program
1.2 for Level 1 and level 2 program
1.47 for Level 3 and level 4 program
Is this correct? Considering an ISD can receives up to 47% more funding per child enrolled in CTE why should the taxpayers ALSO need to pass a BOND with CTE stuff in it? Is it to entice children to enroll in CTE? Education Code Section 48.106 states that ONLY 55% of additional CTE funds must be used for CTE in grades 7-12. What amount does JISD spend and if not 100%, where does the remainder of the money go?
