I've been adhering to utilitarianism in a process without understanding its name. Not everyone can gain from an idea, in my opinion. Whatever the case, what works for one individual may not work for another. It is simply fact. But if you can save the majority, I believe it will offset the regret of not being able to save everyone. The morality of deciding to help the majority is a contentious issue, but I feel it is vital in a world where not everyone will profit from a decision.

This is very relatable to how the world operates today. For example, the government will create places for students to go and explore different majors. But the thing is, you need to make payments every two weeks. The majority of students will be happy because they have the chance to explore their dreams, but what about the small portion of students who doesn't have enough money is unhappy. This is very controversial because just because some just because some people are okay with this situation, doesn't mean others aren't.

Utilitarianism is relatable because I have had moments that I had to think who it benefits. For example, if I were to make food, would it be better to only make food for me, or for me and other people. Utilitarianism can be controversial because different people can have different definitions of happiness. The main idea of Utilitarianism is that the right choice is decide by whether it helps the most people or not.

This is very relatable because I've seen people make decisions based on revengeful feelings. The main idea of this article is mainly saying that revenge and justice does not fall in the same category. Its also explaining that revenge is generally what destroys our justice system. This article did help persuade my thoughts on whether or not revengeful people are wrong. In my opinion, those who seek for revenge are people who want to bring others down in their sorrow, and that is wrong. I feel that if you do someone wrong, then you will have consequences for that coming, but if an individual tries to force bad things upon you, then they are also in the wrong.

I feel that "Utilitarianism" along with all other philosophy's are controversial, because everyone has their own opinion on how to handle task, and Ethical dilemmas. The article was pretty much explaining that Utilitarianism is choosing the most favored option over the rest. You can use Utilitarianism sometimes not all the time. that's the mindset that was swayed by reading about Utilitarianism. When I think of Utilitarianism, I think of a superhero saving a group of people, and sacrificing one rather than saving one, and leaving the others.

The main idea of this article is woman tend to think more about making decisions because they think about the potential harm in each situation. Humans can try to program all they want into machines and teach them what is right and what is wrong, but in reality, emotions and feelings take over when we begin making those decisions.

This article is relatable because for as long as I can remember my parents and everyone i have been around most of my life has told me that life is not fair and there is really nothing we can do about it. Everywhere you go there is going to be inequality and no one is going to get treated the same. Everyone can tell their experiences of inequality if it comes from skin color, a disability, poverty, or someones features but no matter what the situation is, everyone has experienced some kind of inequality. Deciding whether or not you're going to be put down due to inequality and life not being fair really just depends on who you put yourself around. Or what your actions are because there are many different ways to get yourself into a problem.

This article is relatable because most people, when wronged by someone, might seek revenge on that person, or through other people. This topic is controversial because some believe that revenge is a way to solve or end conflict, while others believe it is wrong and you should "turn your cheek". The main idea of the article is that revenge is a wild justice. This article helped to persuade me because it said, "Certainly, in taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy, but in passing over, he is superior." Visually I imagine someone doing me wrong and instead of letting that person be, I seek to do wrong to them back. Now I am just as wrong as them because I acted in a way now I am on their level of wrongness, and it take the good out of me now I look bad too.

But I do believe that machines and robots can be programmed with mortality and some people will try numerous times to try to teach machines and robots mortality but I just do not think that it will ever work. It can only be programmed into the machines when they are made but it can never be learned. There might be a way in the future where someone or some people end up figuring out a way to get a robot to learn mortality but I highly doubt it because its not something that a machine can learn life I already said it can only be programmed into the machine when it created.

The main idea of this article is how crime rates have declined dramatically in Brooklyn, New York because of more "aggressive policing". It did help persuade me because in the article it talks about the amount of crime there used to be which was a lot. Then when more disciplinary actions were enforced, less crimes happened. This makes me think of how it must've been so bad at one point the community and police got tired of it and decided to work harder to stop it. Which would be their "tipping point".

i have definitely gathered the idea that men and women think and approach situations differently. Women deal with things using their emotions. men don't really use their emotions to deal with their issues. men grow up usually hearing things like "boys don't cry" or something along those lines. When dealing with your issues, you must learn how to deal with your emotions or you will make a "bad decision"

this article is about how men and women respond differently in moral dilemmas. I found this article to be fairly engaging in its ideas, highlighting that each gender will focus on different issues in the mater. while men tend to focus more on the consequences of each action, women tend to focus more on the emotional response that will be invoked. I found this article to be fairly accurate. whenever I go to each of my parents about the same issue, they typically lean in their respective directions. Now, this article could be perceived as sexist, as it generalizes the way men and women view issues, however I do not believe that these generalizations were made to demean one group or the other. the article even states that there are, like many rules, exceptions to these generalizations.

this article is very quick to debate controversy. on one hand, implying machines cannot learn morality means that humanity does not trust anybody but themselves. But if machines do learn morality, they would almost instantly outclass us, considering that they would have much better physical capabilities than most regular people. but if morality can be taught to Artificial Intelligence (or AI), then this could help humanity in a practical way. it would allow machines to function on a battlefield with low risk against civilians and non-combatants, and could potentially save the lives of soldiers. Now, I personally do not intend on teaching machines morality, but if it can be taught to AI, then each different kind of robot could be taught different morals, and could function entirely separately from each other. this could also mean that if you teach each robot what is seen as bad morals, then it could become a threat, much like humanity's own serial killers. so this begs the question; what is a correct set of morals?

i find this article to be very interesting. from the perspective of a soldier who made a bad call, you can see how fear can control the way people respond to things, including the reflection of light on the bike of a man. it can cloud somebody's judgement or perception of a situation well after a decision has been made. the idea of allowing yourself to feel the weight of your actions, and consequences to those actions is something I do on a regular basis, as this Former Marine Captain, Timothy Kudo, has also done. Mr. Kudo does not believe that he is worthy of forgiveness and does not expect any, which is something i can agree with, as some mistakes are inexcusable. however, if someone does offer you forgiveness, I personally feel that you must accept the forgiveness you are offered.
