WW11 started September 1,1939 and ended September 2,1945. WW11 was started due to hitler attacking poland. In WW11 over 60 million people died just in the spam 6 years. The first attack  of WW11 was June 6,1944 D-day where the allied forces landed in german territory.

During WW11 there was also a war between the U.S and japan so the U.S had to use every man they had wisley. December 7, 1941 pearl harbor was attacked by the japanese air service . It was that attack by japan that lead the U.S into WW11. On September 2,1945 japan surrendered to the U.S shortly after the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The reason I choose this event was because this war had the most deaths. I think in today's time we don't take the time to thank those who passed away fighting for us and for jews. i also choose this event because my grandfather fought in vietnam and lived to tell me about it.
