1) I've learnt that decimals are rational numbers that fit between 2 whole numbers. They also have a decimal point that separates the whole numbers, which are to the left of the decimal point, from the numbers to the right of the decimal points, the decimal places. Speaking of which, the decimal place values are the tenths, hundredths and thousandths. Decimals can be added, subtracted, multiplied and divided, just like whole numbers. Decimals can be rounded of. Decimals can be shown in number lines too.
2) We use decimals to measure volume, money, time, mass, length, height and temperature etc. accurately. We also use decimals in maths.(Pi)3) Fractions and decimals are related because both of them:

do not come in wholes (mostly)

can be converted between both of them

are rational numbers

can come in number lines

1.a) Decimals is used to express the ones place, tenths place, hundredths place and thousandths place. It also separates them from one another.
1.b) The number after the decimal point is smaller than the number that is in front of the decimal point.
1.c) Decimals are rational numbers that is between 2 whole numbers.
2. Decimals are used on the money that we use in our everyday lives. For example, 2.30 has the same meaning as $2.30 (two dollars and thirty cents).
3. Both fractions and decimals are one way of expressing small parts of a whole pizza. For instance, 7 over 10 is how we express it in fractions. Whereas,0.7 is how we express
it in decimals.

1] I learnt that all numbers have a decimal point ,even whole numbers.Take 360 as an example.Even that it is a whole number it still has a decimal point.(360.0) Decimals are expressed in tenths, hundredths, and thousandths

2] We use decimals to calculate the circumference of a circle which is PI (3.141592654) Decimals are used to measure length, height , weight, breadth, depth, pain, heat, etc.....
(eg. in professions such as sewing ,carpentry, medical professions, construction etc....)

3] Decimals are another way of expressing fractions.
(eg. the fraction 56/100 is 0.56 in the form of decimals)
When a fractional number is not
divisible , the quotient will be in decimals.
eg. PI is 22/7=3.14152654

:' )
