The people of the South suffered a lot and many had to walk miles and miles to get to a safe space they could live in, and when they arrived in Kakuma (a refugee camp) they thought they would finally have that. Sadly their life didn't improve much since they had to survive on food rations and didn't have the best life experience because the refugee camp didn't have much money or donations. Other countries offered to take them in but after the pandemic and the quarantine many other countries like the United States for example, didn't accept them anymore, I honestly think that is really cruel, since the lost boys and their families had lived in those terrible conditions for centuries.
