Hire lunch monitors or ask for parent volunteers to watch the cafeteria. This would promote community involvement and give teachers a break.

If admin does not have an agenda for PLC, it should be up to the grade level to meet or not.

Possible: If there are 4 classes on the playground: you could make a schedule to have a rotating schedule that 3 teachers are out there.

Get more parent volunteers in the building. Allow them more time with the kids. Take pressure off staff.

Half day planning was always very useful...entire grade level got to meet twice a year for the half day. We always got lots done, more than PLC time because it's too short. Can we use movie night money for that if we choose as a grade level?

Kids gather in the hall 7:40 -8:10 - One or two teachers have hall duty rotation.

Teachers greet students in hall first quarter but, then greet in classroom to be able to get things done too.

I know that we have a ton of bus driver issues but a better way to support teachers so that we aren't all here until 3:30-3:45. in the afternoon. Each grade level take a one week. watching late buses, so the other 5 we have off. Or having other teams that don't have students all day watch the students and take a turn. :)

Staying with buses after school for an extra 15 minutes per day x 5= 75 min per week x 35 weeks= 43 extra hours of work per year...no compensated for this and this is time after school I used to use in my classroom to get ready for the next day. Not sure what can be done, but that's an issue maybe the county needs to do something about.

Ask for parent volunteers to run copies and be errand runners. This will free up time for teachers AND help TA's be available for other tasks such as small groups, classroom assistance, etc.

Thank you for continuing to allow those who like to eat in their classroom the opportunity to do so. It allows me time to get a little more planning in.

Suggestion: Rotate morning duty with pod. Not all staff need to be in the hallway daily.

Allow sufficient time to work in the classroom the first days of school...too many and too long meetings. Allow time for planning on teacher workdays, especially the workdays close to report cards. Going to a workshop when report cards needed to be complete was difficult.
