First and foremost, I want to repay my parents for all their hard work and sacrifices. They've given me everything, and I want to make them proud. Becoming a licensed teacher is a major aspiration; I want to inspire and empower young minds, helping them reach their full potential. Education is incredibly important to me, and I believe in its power to transform lives. Beyond my career goals, I dream of traveling the world with the people I love. Exploring different cultures, experiencing new adventures, and creating lasting memories with my loved ones is a significant part of my vision for the future. These experiences will enrich my life and broaden my perspective. I also aspire to build a strong and loving family of my own, creating a supportive and nurturing environment. Financial security is important to ensure stability and independence, allowing me to pursue my passions without limitations. Ultimately, my aspirations are about creating a life filled with purpose, meaning, and joy, both for myself and for those around me. I envision a future where I can combine my passion for teaching with my love for travel and family, creating a life that is both fulfilling and impactful. This is my vision, and I'm committed to working towards it every day.

The challenges I've faced, especially the disappointment of not getting into my first-choice program, have fundamentally shaped who I am today. They've made me stronger, more resilient, and more confident in my abilities. The initial setback forced me to confront my doubts and insecurities, pushing me to dig deep and find inner strength I didn't know I possessed. It taught me the importance of perseverance and the power of believing in myself, even when things get tough. I learned to trust my instincts and to have faith that everything happens for a reason, even if it's not immediately apparent. This experience instilled in me a deep sense of self-reliance and a greater appreciation for the opportunities that come my way. I've become more adaptable, more resourceful, and more determined to achieve my goals. The challenges haven't broken me; they've made me stronger. They've taught me to embrace setbacks as learning experiences, as stepping stones to growth. I've learned to view difficulties not as obstacles, but as opportunities for personal development. This journey has fostered a deeper sense of gratitude for the blessings in my life and a stronger belief in my own potential. It's made me more compassionate and understanding towards others facing their own struggles. I've developed a stronger faith in a higher power, trusting that there's a plan, even when things seem uncertain. This experience has been transformative, shaping me into a more resilient, confident, and grateful person.

One of the biggest challenges I faced was not getting into my desired program, BEED, at Cebu Technological University. I was disqualified, and it hit me hard. I questioned my abilities, doubting if I was smart enough, capable enough. The rejection felt like a personal failure, a blow to my confidence. I spent time feeling down, questioning my potential. The disappointment was intense, and it shook my belief in myself. But then, something shifted. I started to see things differently. I realized that maybe this wasn't a setback, but a redirection. Maybe there was a better path for me, a different plan unfolding. And that's when I saw the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor of English Language. It felt like a second chance, a different door opening. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: setbacks don't define us; how we respond to them does. It taught me resilience, the importance of faith, and the power of believing in a higher purpose. I now see that disqualification as a crucial turning point, leading me to where I am today, pursuing a path that feels more aligned with my true calling. It was a painful lesson, but ultimately a valuable one. I learned to trust the process, even when it's difficult to understand.

My proudest achievement so far is simply making it to college. The journey to get here was challenging. Passing the entrance exam and interview felt like a huge victory, a testament to all my hard work and dedication. But the real triumph, the one I’m most proud of, is successfully navigating my first year of college. It was a year filled with new experiences, academic pressures, and personal growth. There were moments of doubt, moments when I questioned if I could handle it all. But I persevered. I learned to manage my time effectively, to seek help when needed, and to believe in my abilities. Overcoming those challenges and emerging stronger on the other side is a source of immense pride. It's a feeling of accomplishment that goes beyond just good grades; it's about proving to myself that I'm capable of achieving my goals. This first year wasn't just about academics; it was about self-discovery and resilience. It taught me valuable life lessons that will serve me well in the years to come. The feeling of accomplishment is deeply personal and incredibly rewarding. It's a stepping stone to even greater things. This success fuels my ambition for the future. It's a reminder that hard work and perseverance pay off. I'm incredibly proud of this milestone.

I'm currently studying for a Bachelor of English Language at Cebu Technological University's Tuburan Campus, in the College of Arts and Sciences. It's a challenging but really rewarding program. I'm learning a lot about literature, linguistics, and writing, and developing my critical thinking skills. The coursework is pretty demanding, but I'm enjoying the challenge. The professors are helpful and supportive, and I'm learning so much from them. The campus is a good environment for studying, and I've made some great friends there. Overall, I'm really happy with my choice of program and excited about what the future holds. It's more than just classes; it's helping me grow as a person, too. I'm developing a real passion for language and communication.

I was born in the quiet town of Asturias, Tubigagmanok, but Lapu-Lapu City is where I truly grew up. We moved there when my dad got a job, and it was a big change. It felt like a new adventure, a fresh start. Lapu-Lapu City was bustling and vibrant compared to my birthplace. Having all my cousins living there made the transition smoother, creating a built-in support system and a sense of belonging. It felt like home in a new way, surrounded by familiar faces and family ties. The city's energy was infectious, and I quickly adapted to the faster pace of life. I made new friends, explored new places, and experienced a whole new side of life. Growing up in Lapu-Lapu City shaped my personality, broadening my horizons and preparing me for the world beyond. The move was a significant chapter in my life, influencing my development and shaping my perspective. It's where I forged many of my strongest memories and friendships. I'm grateful for the opportunities it provided and the people I met along the way. Lapu-Lapu City holds a special place in my heart; it's where I truly found my roots.

Hi, I'm Jey, or Jey Ann Tapil if you prefer the full name. I'm 18 years young, a Gemini born on June 11th, 2006—if you believe in that sort of thing! I'm currently immersed in the world of English literature and linguistics, pursuing a Bachelor's degree at Cebu Technological University's Tuburan Campus. It's challenging, but incredibly rewarding. I'm proudly Filipino, and my pronouns are she/her. My heart belongs to someone special; I'm happily in a relationship. Sunshine yellow is my favorite color—it's bright, cheerful, and just makes me happy. Chicken, in all its delicious variations, is my ultimate comfort food. There's nothing quite like a perfectly cooked piece of chicken. I have a deep love for dogs; they're just the best. My own dog, Ekie, is a fluffy cloud of affection—she's the sweetest thing. Watching the sunset paint the sky with vibrant colors is one of my favorite pastimes. It's so peaceful and calming. Singing is a joy, even if my voice isn't always perfect. It's about expressing myself and having fun. Dancing, especially the energetic "kikay" style, is another way I let loose and celebrate life. I'm a pretty easygoing person, always up for a good time. I believe in living life to the fullest and embracing every moment. I'm grateful for the people and experiences that enrich my life. The future is unwritten, and I'm excited to see what adventures await.
