Dear Shawnee Heights Family,
When taking your student to get tested for the COVID-19 virus, please ensure your student receives a PCR test. These tests have to be administered by a facility that reports to the State; we cannot accept results from home test kits. In addition to receiving a PCR test, your student must bring a copy of their test results that include their name, date of birth, the day the test was administered, and the test results to their school nurse.
Unfortunately, our nursing staff cannot accept any other tests or documentation.

We are almost through the end of the 1st quarter for the 21-22 school year!  It's going by fast.  We will wrap-up the quarter on Friday, October 15th.  There will be no school on Monday, October 18th due teachers working on 1st quarter progress reports.  2nd quarter will start Tuesday, October 19th.  Be sure to check the school calendar for important dates this month!  We have several days where students are not in attendance.  

The PTO Carnival this last Saturday was a hit!  We had a great turnout and everyone looked like they were having a ton of fun.  Thank you to everyone that attended and supported our PTO!  

Lastly, we will celebrate Halloween on Wednesday, October 27th in the morning.  Students need to come to school in their costume (with the exception of 6th grade, whom will change into their costumes AFTER music, PE, art, or library).  We are not allowing parents and other outside patrons in the building in order to keep numbers low within each classroom.  If you are sending treats with your student, please send items that are pre-packaged and store bought (nothing homemade).  Please ensure that your student has a change of clothes, as they will change out of their costumes after their party.  Please let me know if you have any questions!
