I, personally, loved this task, because I always find some new ways to help me at least not forget English. One of the things I told about was getting used to different accents, which was an unpleasant topic for me in the past. I always struggled in understanding what people say to me, for example, in France or Spain, where people sometimes speak English even worse than second-graders! That's why I bought Yandex movie subscription and it turned out to be my favorite platform. Sometimes jokes lose their meaning due to voice acting or translation. You can't hear real emotions, that actors and producers invested in the script. You lose sense in the plot and sometimes the plot twist is about the lines, not just the picture. 
I found out that I can watch deep and serious movies with legendary actors and understand every detail that producers conceived. And yes, even without subs! I was frustrated. I always loved her vlogs, they were so calming and relatable to me. But then I came across her podcasts. I've never really liked podcasts, because I always want to look at the picture and see a person, who is talking. This is how i found my new addiction! You can listen to podcast while cleaning or going somewhere.
