IHOP uses the "P" as a sloppy eye symbolizing a pancake syrup falling. and the line surrounding all of it is a smile. The sloppy-ness is supposed to be funny. And the use of typography is quite hilarious if you understand it!

This one just feels more cartoony to me, at least compared to the ebay logo. The rounded fonts and shiny illustrations give it a childlike feeling.

Ebay is all over the place as if its being shaken or moving around while pizza hut doesn't have anything moving or visibly crazy. I think I and other people would likely like Ebay better because of its going crazy or like an earthquake.

They have a sideways M. Which looks pretty cool. Toys R us has a backwards R and stroke but I personally think that Animal planet with its big bold font and sideways M looks both cool and pretty silly.

This logo is more marketed towards children, so it makes sense that this one may seem sillier than the blocky writing of Animal Planet's logo. The Toys R Us logo is very bubbly and colorful and includes fun shapes like stars.

Toys R Us logo is sillier because of the different colors, the more bold font, the use of a backwards letter, and the star in the middle of the R. This logo is also for a toy store so its meant to be more appealing to kids which could make it sillier.
