This is because with enough bands, the pressure would become too great and the melon's rind would snap, effectively cutting the melon. (Although technically it would be more like exploding the watermelon in half rather than cutting it).<br>And turning it into a science experiment would be cool but it would take A LOT of rubber bands, (probably at least 300-1000 per watermelon)</div>]]></description>
