Already a convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein was still actively shopping his political and financial acumen with major power players on the international stage in 2018, according to messages in the trove of records released by the House Oversight Committee this week.

Epstein appeared to welcome that role of influence-wielder, including by pitching himself as a guru on how world leaders should handle then newly-elected President Donald Trump. Epstein even boasted that he had already counseled a top Russian diplomat on Trump's psyche.

Months later, Epstein would be arrested on sex trafficking charges.

When immigration hit Chicago it became a major problem from the city since people started to go against ice, help others to get away, and many more other ways to either help people from being detained. Some people don't like this rule due to the fact that some immigrants have paid for their children to get across the border so they think that it's very unfair. A major situation happened in Chicago when a lady was detained and basically played from it being just a traffic stop into her getting deported which caused a lot of backlash about how they set her up.

A 30 year old murder that took place in California went unsolved for decades until a DNA match was found. Debbie Dorian's death had brought terror to the Central Valley of California, but the DNA found had helped her murderer finally be apprehended. With this discovery, a serial predator had been outed. On the date she was murdered, August 1996, she had just finished her degree in economics. Later her father had found her dead in her apartment. Those who investigated the scene determined the cause of death was asphyxiation. Autopsy revealed she had been dead for two days before she was found. Using a DNA match from a sexual assault case, which was commited by a man named Nickey Duane Stane- who was found guilty of many other felonies.

CNN on Wednesday that his hope is that a veto-proof majority will pressure the Senate to act over Trump’s opposition. It would require two-thirds of the House or 290 votes if all members are present for a veto votes. They are looking to releasing all of his footage because he is dead and it's been passed. Even after the bipartisan duo secured the 218 signatures needed to move forward on Wednesday, there was still a process that had to be out because the effort did not have the House Republican leadership to come to the bill.

A Pennsylvania man was shot in the back by a shotgun that was allegedly fired by his dog. On the way to the scene the police were informed that the shotgun had been left on the man's bed, and that the dog had jumped onto the bed and set the gun off. The victim stated that he was cleaning the firearm, and that he had placed it on his bed. The victim's son was the only other person in the house at that time. The victim was rushed to the hospital and immediately underwent surgery. The hospital stated that he would need an additional surgery a few days later

In Pennsylvania a man was shot in the lower back. At 11:13 pm a report was made for a shooting. As immediate responders were on the way to the scene they were informed that the mans dog had jumped on his bed setting off the gun. When the responders got to the scene they found the man couscous and he informed them that while he was cleaning his gun his dog jumped onto the bed resulting in the gun going off. Only the mans son and 2 other dogs were in the house at the time. He was transported to a hospital and went into immediate injury. As of now police are still investigating the accident.

Ukrainian forces were forced to withdraw from several positions due to several Russian attacks. Russian forces have launched more than 400 artillery strikes per day and Ukrainian troops faced the destruction of defensive fortifications. The situation there remains difficult, in part because of weather conditions that favor the attacks.

A 53-year-old man from Pennsylvania was shot by his dog because he left a shotgun on his bed. He claims he was cleaning his shotgun when he put it down and the dog jumped on the bed. He got shot in his back at 11:13 pm. At the time, him and his son were the only people in the house. He went into surgeory as soon as he got to the hospital and is recovering.

A dog shot its owner in the lower back after jumping on the bed. The owner of a shotgun was said to be cleaning his firearm once he had set it down on the bed, his dog jumped up onto the mattress. This caused the gun to go off, sending a round into the owner's back. The police found the man in his home, unconscious. When paramedics took him to the hospital, he immediately had surgery. The severity of his injuries is unknown and the shooting appeared to be an accident, but police are still investigating.
