         <description><![CDATA[<div>The amount of children that were pulled from their family to attend residential school was a crazy amount. 150,000 children was estimated to have been in the residential school community. Out of 150,000 of those children, about 6,000 were estimated to be dead.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sir Wilfrid Laurier requested to open the doors to immigration in Canada to increase the population in the west. Because he feared the american's would take the western regions if it was underpopulated. most immigrants&nbsp; that came to Canada during the 1900's were shipped out west thru the Canadian pacific railways. many immigrants that came to Canada during this time where from Britain. many of these&nbsp; British immigrants were poor children shipped here by British charities. The population of immigrants moving to he west led to the creation of Alberta and Saskatchewan. allot of the immigrants ended up becoming farmers.</div>]]></description>
