The man fell into the latrine (present as a hole in the
ground) that is found in the Chinese countryside. This happened because he was feeling
‘fatigued’ after the long bus journey. Also the man was feeling ‘nauseous’
which suggests that he wouldn’t have the correct balance and be walking with
blurred vision and would be feeling slightly drowsy

‘The man from America’ tripped in a latrine hole; where the Chinese
countryside people go loo, because he desperately wanted his own privacy time,
he was wondering around the pond, without paying attention, he fell into the latrine.

The American man was very tired, due to the long days, bouncy
bus trip and the nauseous fumes. As an American he wanted privacy and so he
wondered around searching for a place until he spotted the latrines back wall. As
the area was isolated he seemed like a perfect place for him. As he walked
towards he stated dozing at the walls and fainted. He heard a splash and found
himself walking down into a shallow pond and as he recovered his brain instantly
fired off a message “Get Out”. He had no idea of what had happen to him.

TheAmerican man “walked through a shallow pond”. It wasn’t really a shallow pond,
it was where people go toilet. The man didn’t know he stepped in the toilet
because he is American and this is unusual for him. He thought and called it a “shallow
pond”. He walked through it because he cannot see around him clearly as it was
dark and he was tired from the trip

The man, who had been travelling for more than 10 hours had become too physically exhausted to carry on, he had decided to take a small rest while everyone else was using the ‘latrines’. He decided to rest in a peaceful place, which was situated behind the latrine, desperate he was for some privacy, but not knowing that he would end up falling asleep and falling into the latrine. This happened becausehe was sat in a very isolated location and it was dark, which made it the perfect location for a tired traveller to rest.

The American prior to the indecent had been travelling on a
bus for 10 dreadful hours packed with a lot of people which meant lack of
privacy. As the bus came to a standstill near a latrine (a toilet facility) the
American aboard was feeling “fatigued” at
this point meaning the lack of sleep had
left his energy depleted, the American then
began to walk towards the latrine aimlessly. Which lead to The American falling
into the latrine.
