<title>Absenteeism is an issue that learners and parents need to be aware of. Absenteeism creates a gap in the child&#39;s learning which defeats the purpose of learning. Parents and learners need to be aware that absenteeism affects learning because learners fall behind and find it difficult to catch up. Parents need to understand that learners cannot be absent without a valid reason because it disrupts their learning. Not only does it affect the learner but it also affects the teacher because the teacher needs to now make time to help the learner catch up and be on the page with the rest of the learners which could be time-consuming for the teacher and result in teaching and learning time being lost </title>
