Tone: The tone is happy and loving because he offers to compare thee to a summer's day and summer’s day is normally beautiful and happy. In another line it says that summer is eternal and summer means the person’s beauty so it’s saying that the person’s beauty is eternal, which is a good thing.

Theme: I think that this poem is about timelessness of love and beauty whether it’s a person, a thing, or a memory.

I think the tone of the poem is joyful. I think this because the author talks about how great the other person is. He compares them to summer, the most bright and warm season. I think that the theme is that love lasts forever because he says "But thy eternal summer shall not fade." Meaning that his love for the person will never end.
