I think that college should be tuition free because some families can't afford to send their kids to college. This prevents some kids from learning anything past a high school level. Having tuition free college would reduce student loan debt by a lot, and take the pressure off of parents to have to save a lot of money for their kids to go to college. Alabama would have to raise their state taxes to help pay for this. I would raise taxes by 1% and this would generate enough money to pay for free college for everyone.

More Affordable Public Healthcare

I think that Alabama should work to provide more affordable and accessible healthcare. Having affordable healthcare is a big issue in Alabama because some families can't afford to pay for healthcare. We need to fix this so that more people can get the medical attention they need. About 44% of americans cannot afford healthcare. We could help make healthcare more affordable if we raised our state taxes.

Unemployment

I think that Alabama should work towards fixing the unemployment problem in Alabama. We need to create more jobs so that more people will be able to work and get paid. We can help create a solution by expanding companies and creating more ways people can work. This would help anyone who does not have a job have the opportunity to make money and provide for themselves. There are over 50k unemployed people in Alabama that need a job, we need to start trying to come up with a solution.

My logo clearly communicates who to vote for. I chose to put a picture of Alabama on my logo so that voters are reminded that I am running for state representative of Alabama, and if I am elected I will look out for the good of Alabama. I chose a bright and fun font so that it might appeal to voters better. I chose the colors pink and blue to interest different readers. These colors are 2 of the most popular colors in the world. I hope this logo will stand out because it is simple, easy to read, and gets a point across of who to vote for.

I am Makenzie Currie and I am running for Alabama State Representative. I think that I would be a good representative because I am hardworking and responsible. If I was elected for this job I would work hard to make Alabama a better place for everyone. I stand for having free college tuition and having more affordable healthcare. My slogan shows that if I am elected I want to try and help the people of Alabama. I want to help Alabama become a better state. I would try to use input from the residents of Alabama to change our state for the better. The american flag on my slogan shows that a common goal of US citizens is to make their state greater! The colors of my slogan are the same as the colors on my logo so that my slogan will be associated with my logo.
