No, I don't think that Caesar Augustus could be guilty of the crime because Augustus said the senate was responsible, and Julius Caesar was murdered on the senate floor, and he knew that the senate was jealous. So you can come to the conclusion that the senate killed Julius Caesar.

Yes, I believe that Augustus could be guilty if the murder. I think this because he rose to power so quickly which makes me feel suspicious of Augustus. He is frantic in pointing the blame on the senate. In conclusion Julius Caesar could be murder by Augustus by the help of the Senate.

I think that Augustus could possibly be guilty because he could have just wanted the throne to himself. He might have just blamed the senate for his crime. Since the senate probably already knew Augustus because he is the nephew of Julius so that is how he is guilty of this crime. Also, in the letter, he says something like "and with the authority that only a true emperor can provide."

There isn't enough evidence to prove Augustus is guilty or not guilty of the crime. He suggests a better life for the citizens of Rome with him taking control as the Emperor and taking quicker decisions than the Senate. On the contrary, he could be saying this to improve his pubic image.

I do not think Augustus is guilty of the crime because he has a strong alibi. He was at Albania where he was completing his academic and military training. It would also not make sense if he was at his room and at night and over night he went to the senate floor to kill Julius Caesar and then back to his room. He can not walk/run that fast. No one can.

I don't think Octavian was guilty of the crime, because when his uncle/father died, he had just come back from his training in Albania. Also, using my prior knowledge, the Senate got really mad at Julius for taking their power, so it would make sense of they killed him.
Yet I do see where people get the idea where people think he is the murderer. He did kill his mother, and banish his daughter. Also, he went against his friend when Antony fell for Cleopatra.

Instead, he made himself emperor, because of this and said he would rule until the next ruler would come in line.

No because in his speech, Augustus was saying that the Senate was jealous that August was able to accomplish so much for Rome in a short time. He also explained that his uncle, Julius Caesar, was a great ruler to Rome. Also it stated that Julius was murdered on the Senate Floor. This evidence leaves August to be innocent.

Yes, I think that Augustus is guilty of the crime. He could have used the Senate to take down Julius so he could take power over the throne. He was never related to Julius by blood, so he didn't necessarily have to be emperor. In Augustus' testimony he said that the Senate bickered, but not what they bickered about. Julius was also murdered on the Senate floor.
