My Favourite Museum/Heritage Site

My favourite heritage site has to be the site of Pompeii. I had to opportunity to visit the site in 2015 while on a holiday to see family. I had always been fascinated by what could be classed as Ancient History, and it was a surreal experience for me to walk along the roads people had once walked all those years ago, to see the buildings where they had lived. It was also quite emotional, I was able to see an exhibition which included the remains of residence stuck in their last poses.

Favourite Museum (British)

However, my favourite museum within Britain has to be the British Museum in London. I visited the British Museum in 2018. I could only visit over one day which was a shame because the museum is too big to see everything in just one day. But it amazed me how much was available. I visited the Egyptian exhibits which were my favourite in particular. There was just something about being surrounded by so much history that was fascinating. The British Museum would certainly hold something of interest to everyone it seemed as the exhibits available on so much seemed never ending.
