Patrick Caufield left school at the age of 15 and then joined the air force at the age of 17.

"After Lunch" 1973 was a famous art piece of his, which has a unique take of pop art and its culture, as it has a 3D and simple base with a pop of detailing in the back.

"Autumn Fashion" 1978. In this piece he uses a huge variety of patterns and colours to contrasts each other. The whole of the piece is very basic except a small bit of detailing on two of the oysters on the plate, this is very effective as it contrasts different types of media in one.

This famous female artists who is well known for her physical collages very simple yet surreal collages by using mostly magazines and books for her images. She takes images and layers them in a unique way to show inimitable perspective in everyday life. She commonly uses images of children and adults and incorporates them with landscapes and space to create collages like this. Her unique take or everyday life through simplistic collages of unrealistic events has an effect on her audience, she does this to make her audience create a narrative of their own from her collages by giving them very little to work with. These condensed pieces are very effective.

This French artist, Julian Pacaud is a digital collage creator. He specializes in creating illustrations and is now focusing on exploring the thought of parallels world and perpendicular dreams. It shows his work of this through collages and a various number of textures and images. He works with very monotoned and grainy images to make what he creates more effective to the work he wants to express. He tends to use mostly plain coloured backgrounds and then cut out and laying detailed images on top, this gives an illusion of another universe or unusual scenery.

She commonly uses embroidery, yarn and wool to create realistic but contemporary landscapes between tapestries and sculptures. She works mainly with embroidery and uses different techniques depending on the subject. What caught my eye with her work was her use of off the canvas work. The way she drapes her yarn while still using it to create a landscape shows and effective use of media. Her work can link to pop art through there type of textures she uses in her work.

This mix of media used is eye catching and intriguing as its not usually created espically with two proffeshionals from different textile background. I absolutly love the gowns created in this line as they are all so unique and have grave details and colours used on them. You can easily see the textures on the gowns, and it adds a lot of depth to the designs. This piece can be linked back to pop art in the sense of turning a simple thing into a great work of detailed designs.

This Roy Lichtenstein piece is called "it's about time". I think this art piece is very abstract and unique. Lichenstein has used a lot of patterns and methods to create this, and it works very well. He chose bland colours to do the background patterns and then used yellow to contrast and pop with the backgrounds. This can be interpreted in so many ways and the use of back-to-back faces is very effective to the audience as its not seen a lot. He has layered the layers and images very well where everything can be seen. The printmaking method he used was oil painting and it is effective as he was able to capture all the detail he needed to. What I'm not very fond of in this piece is that there's not much in the image that gives the audience context to help build context. Its good in a way that the audience is free to interpret it in their own way but its abit confusing when you don’t understand why the artist designed it is this way. I feel like he could also of used a brighter and more unique colour for the woman's hair to make her stand out more, as the hair also blends in with the background on the left-hand side. With the background its very unclear on what it is supose to be and how to visualize the whole concept of this as its hard-to-understand what's going on. What I can interpret from this is a woman who is trapped but wants to feel free and is hiding behind a brave face, when she's truly not happy.
