Built around 11,500 years ago - that's roughly 6,000 years older than Stonehenge and 7,000 years older than the Egyptian pyramids! To put this in perspective, it was built during the Stone Age, before farming, before pottery, and before people even lived in permanent villages.

Ölüdeniz is world-famous for its stunning Blue Lagoon (Mavi Laguna), a protected natural bay with crystal-clear turquoise water surrounded by white sandy beaches. The colors are so vivid - ranging from deep blue to bright turquoise - that it looks almost unreal. It's been voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and appears on countless travel posters.

Pamukkale is famous for its stunning white travertine terraces - bright white pools that step down the mountainside like a frozen waterfall. These aren't made of ice or snow, but of calcium carbonate (limestone).

You Can Actually Walk in It!

The coolest part? You can walk barefoot through the warm thermal pools! The water is around 35°C (95°F) and feels amazing. To protect the terraces, you must remove your shoes - the white surface feels smooth and slightly slippery under your feet.

Pamukkale is truly a once-in-a-lifetime sight - where else can you walk through warm pools on a sparkling white mountainside next to 2,000-year-old ruins.

Uzhhorod is a historic city in the west of Ukraine, located on the Uzh River, near the borders with Slovakia and Hungary. Uzhhorod is also the administrative center of the Zakarpattia region and is famous for its beautiful architecture, green parks, and proximity to nature reserves.

Uzhhorod is famous for its winemaking traditions, which date back to the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The city is located in a region with ideal conditions for growing grapes, and the local wine is considered to be of very high quality

For me, Uzhhorod is special because it is a city that brings together different cultures and nations. It is a place where Western and Eastern influences meet, and this is evident both in everyday life and in local celebrations and traditions. Although it is a small city, its history and culture are fascinating and still full of life.

Cultural facts - traditions, food

In Ukraine is a tradition to decorate eggs and pysanky on Easter. Another important tradition is Ivan Kupala Night (celebrated in late June), a folk holiday celebrating the summer solstice with bonfires, songs, and dances. Some traditional food - Borsch, Varenyky (Pyrogy), Holubtsi, Salo and Kyiv Cake.

One of the most famous historical places in Ukraine is Kyiv Pechersk Lavra - also known as the Kyiv Monastery of the Caves.

Hagia Sophia was built in 537. It was a church at first.But Fatih Sultan Mehmet conqured İstanbul and turned Hagia Sophia to mosque. Every year almost 13 million people visit Hagia Sophia. It is one of the most well known places in Türkiye

Anıtkabir is Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's Moseleum. Atatürk died on 10th of november 1938. This moseleum was built after his death. It is in Çankaya, Ankara.Turkish people visits Anıtkabir on special days, holidays and memorial days. Almost six million people visit Anıtkabir every year.

It presents Bulgarian customs, culture and craftsmanship. It spans over an area of 7 ha and contains a total of 50 objects, including water installations and houses with craftsmen's workshops attached. As a whole, the complex's goal is to illustrate the architecture, way of life and economy of Gabrovo and the region during the Bulgarian National Revival.

The City of the Bulgarian Tsars

Велико Търново was the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire (12th–14th century). Because of this, it’s often called „Градът на царете“ (The City of the Tsars).

Its medieval fortress, Царевец, has a dramatic cliff-top location and was the seat of the Bulgarian kings. Inside the fortress you can still see:

• The Royal Palace ruins

• The Patriarchal Cathedral

• The legendary Baldwin’s Tower, named after Latin Emperor Baldwin I, who was imprisoned there.

At night, the whole fortress is illuminated with the famous „Sound and Light“ show, which uses music, lasers, and lights to tell the history of Bulgaria.

One cultural landmark in Shumen:

The Monument to the Founders of the Bulgarian State – This monumental complex, located on Shumen Plateau, was built to commemorate the 1300th anniversary of the founding of Bulgaria. Its enormous geometric sculptures and figures of Bulgarian rulers make it one of the most striking and modernistic monuments in the country. The site offers breathtaking panoramic views of Shumen and the surrounding region.

This place is special for me because I was there with my family.

1. The First Settlement: Odunpazarı is the original settlement area where Eskişehir was first established. Of the city center's two main parts ("Paşa" and "Porsuk"), the "Odunpazarı" part, built on the hill, became the first center of the city.

2. UNESCO Tentative List: Due to its historical texture, which preserves rare examples of traditional Anatolian Turkish Architecture, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2012.

3. Bay Window Structures (Cumbalar): The characteristic bay windows (cumbalar) of the houses were not only aesthetic but also served a practical purpose: To increase interaction between streets and allow residents, especially women, to see what was happening outside.

4. Two Different Types: Odunpazarı residences were generally built in two main types:

   • Attached Layout: Entrances face the street, and gardens are in the back.

   • Within a Garden: Houses are located within a garden, typically built as 1, 2, or 3 stories.

5. Colorful Revitalization: These historic houses, which have mud-brick and wooden roofs, have been restored for tourism and their street-facing facades painted in vibrant colors. This has given the area the appearance of an open-air museum.

You will also find a vibrant modern culture and contemporary art scene with street art and graffiti, design and fashion, as well as an active co-working and tech scene. Moldova’s culture today embraces the authenticity of its past and present.
