For example, for Chinese New Year this year, I had my students learn the different blessings used for the occasion and also taught them the chinese words for certain decorations. The best way to overcome that would be to read more and expand one’s vocabulary. I like to introduce some stories first to stimulate the student’s interest and then encourage and guide them to finish reading them.
