Students would then connect the information to themselves and assess whether or not they would take the same actions or not.&nbsp;<br><br>The podcast would be shared to a class page where the other students and the teacher could listen to all the podcasts.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>End in mind: Students will demonstrate a deep and thorough understanding of the novel by creating a movie pitch.<br><br>End product: Students will write a movie pitch that includes a short objective summary of the novel and a defense of why a movie about the novel would be relevant and important to a wide variety of audiences today. They will also write about key components of the way the movie should be produced: who should narrate, how should be the main characters be cast/portrayed, what scenes should and should not be included, what major themes should be emphasized, what similarities to and differences from the book would the movie include, etc. <br>After writing the proposal, they will develop an oral "pitch" that they will give to their classmates and a panel of teachers (not super authentic, I know). There could be a vote on who has the best pitch? Not sure about this part yet.<br><br></div>]]></description>

You and your group were hired by the school board to face and deal with this problem and need to present to the school's administration with a proposal to combat this and promote health and wellness to our community.<br><br><strong>FINAL PRODUCT:</strong></div><div>Students will be guided in research, using different types of resources according to their choices and preferences to discover the 4 parts of health (social, mental, emotional, and physical) and how they balance to achieve a state of wellness in order to present a project (final product) to the school community in order to solve or relieve this existing problem.          <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Driving question: </em>How can we use advertisement and an argumentative speech to convince an audience (High Scholars) to choose a Lusophone college?<br><br></div><div>This project finishes a unit about interchange programs worldwide.<br><br></div><div>In the beginning, the students have to create their own Lusophone college (define the name, characteristics, goals and the courses of the university), making a debate among the participants. For this, they can search for real colleges.<br><br></div><div>After that, they will take the role of teachers in this Lusophone college (including wearing clothes like that). They are coming to the audience to convince the High Scholars to enroll in their university. In order to do this, they have to create advertisement strategies, as flyers and a website, to show the courses and the benefits of choosing that place to study.<br><br></div><div>The audience shall participate in the presentation, once that they have to ask questions for the “teachers” and, finally, choose a course to enter.<br><br></div><div><em>Final product:</em> in that case, it would be the advertisement created by the students and the convincing power they showed during presentation. The grammar topic to be evaluated is “Presente do Subjuntivo” of Portuguese Language.<br><br></div>]]></description>

They will look at how the music was received by the resistance and the establishment.  Was the music effective? Yes, No, and Why?  To complete the exploration, students will create a 15-20 minute presentation/lesson to give to the rest of the class about what they learned and answer the question of whether or not the music was effective.</div>]]></description>
