This photograph is of a bouquet of flowers that I manipulated into a mandala using Photopea. Essentially, I used a photograph of mine of flowers, duplicated it and created this piece. I especially love the drama and the lighting on the flowers and the contrast of the black background. I hope you enjoy it too!

I had also used the Procreate app to put layers over each other to create this wonderful picture. I also used PicsArt by putting filters and making it very artistic. You can see a story line with my work. It's one of my best art pieces and I won an award for this from the Congressional Art Awards. It says a lot about me. I took the original photo of me crouching down then another photo of me standing in front of the car and overplayed the photos then changed the opacity. I love this photo mainly because it shows that I work hard to buy this car.

A lot of things in life make me get that feeling of "Butterflies" in my stomach, so i thought I'd use the butterflies in this to represent that. I love this photo personally because I think it's one of my best.

I manipulated it by putting a black and white filter over the photo to accentuate her silhouette using Snapseed in an attempt to create a subtle yet emotional appeal to viewers. What I especially admire about this photograph is how it isn't set up nor is the setting or subject propped a certain way; it's a raw moment that I was able to capture that holds a lot of sentimental memories.

I feel like this is one of the best photographs I've taken so far. It sends out a powerful message especially during these hard times. People should look into getting vaccinated because it benefits themselves and others around them. They are being Covid Safe and will stop the spread. My friends in the back are fully vaccinated and now that businesses are opened up again they are allowed in with no face mask required. My friends in black and white have not gotten their vaccine shots so they are trapped in their face mask. They won't feel the same freedom as the people who are vaccinated. When I created this picture I had to take two different pictures. The first picture was the one where my friends are fist bumping each other. Then the other was when I had my other friends (with the face mask) step in and sit down, while took the picture. I put a black and white filter when there was four of them and cropped out my friends (wearing the face mask) into the first picture I took.

This is one of the pictures we took for Spooky photography and it has to be one of my favorite ones all year long. I originally took a few pictures of my brother (in the dark and he has a little flashlight under the blanket) , where he's looking straight ahead and then where he's looking into the mirror. I used the one of him looking straight ahead as the base picture and then did a double exposure and put the picture of him looking into the mirror on top of it. I didn't want to completely edit the first reflection out so I kept the opacity in the middle to give it a little ghostly effect. I really like it because I enjoy Halloween and I thought it was just a fun project and that I did a decent job at making it look ghostly.

This photograph is one of the best ones I have taken so far. I chose this photo because it represents how the vaccine can make an impact on those around you, especially family. I love seeing this photo because it puts a smile on my face seeing that my family is together and vaccinated. I manipulated it by using snap seed to make the lighting on the photo stand out and putting in the words. I took this photo at my home, with my family representing how important the vaccine is and being around those who have been there for you. I just really love this photo because I can look back at it and see how the vaccine impacted my family by being together and being safe and for me family is important no matter what.

I used a black and white filter to capture the brightness of the flower, I also turned up the contrast of the photo to accentuate the flower. I took this photo while I was out for a walk in my neighborhood, I saw this bright flower and it was perfectly symmetric so I thought it would be perfect for this assignment. I especially like this photo because the contract really draws your eyes to the flower. What I also enjoy about this photo is the texture in the background of the plant. You can see the different shades of the leaves.

I went around Vista Village with a friend of mine Michelle Zamora. I took pictures of the Cinepolis movie theater, a beautiful humming bird on the bottom right corner and a painting located on the side of Crozier’s Flowers . I also took a picture of the sign that says Vista which is located by Sonic Drive .The red flowers were just everywhere we go and I thought it really represents Vista. I took a picture of this architectural embellishment at the Children's Paradise-Headquarters. To edit my photos I used an app called snapseed. Snapseed is a really fun and easy app to learn to make it look blended on my shirt. I decided to make the picture black and white while leaving the images of Vista colorful. This photograph shows how Vista brings out the color in people.

This image is from when we did the reflection in photopea project. I took this picture in Laguna Beach at dusk. I like this photo because it is not just a portrait or just a picture of a plant. It is different and unique because it is a reflection of a plant but it gives it more
character. This project was really fun to do that I had made more pictures being reflected that came out really great as well. This picture focuses of how beautiful the plant is in so many different angles.

The photo that I chose is from the Tessellation project created in Photopea. The picture seen reflected four times was taken at a beautiful temple that I go to during Lunar New Year. Seeing the bright pink flowers makes me feel nostalgic because this is the one time of the year that I can completely celebrate my culture and embrace the new year, while spending time with my family. The picture is beautiful by itself, but creating a tessellation with it led to the production of a magical piece. I really like this picture as it portrays a pathway with an opening at the end, which I perceive as an opening to the new year.

This photo is from the project Artist as Mentor. I actually really loved doing this project because it was my first project in this class using models and I was really inspired by my artist. I asked my friends to be my models and we had a photo shoot which was so much fun. My artist was Lindsay Adler, a portrait and fashion photographer. They did all their own make up and outfits while I set up the backgrounds and lights. This was also my first time using a real camera so I got to learn as I went. I edited the photos with Lightroom and PicsArt which was also slightly new to me at the time. The reason I chose this photo is because I personally thinks its the best picture from the shoot. I was messing with the camera setting and snapped this and we all loved how it looked. It gave a very euphoric vibe and I loved that about it. (the model in this picture is my close friend, Emily Young)

It was a really windy day so it was hard to take a picture while they were still. I did some light editing to make the photo a bit darker so the illuminated flowers would pop. I'm very proud of this photo.

My photography class went out around the school with a bunch of these little army guys and we got to set them in really cool positions. The lighting looked really good because it was when day light savings was still happening and this was last period so the sun was starting to set and the place that the sun was at made it look really nice by shining on the grass and the army guy. I like this photo because I remember having fun doing this and being able to set the guy up anywhere and making it look like he was in high fields and mountains by putting him on rocks and grass and leaves.

This photo is from the surreal selfie project. I took this picture in the RBV stadium one day after soccer. I used the self timer feature so that I had multiple images to choose from. When I began thinking about this project I knew I wanted to incorporate soccer as well as use the duplicate technique. Because of previous projects, I had some prior knowledge on how to layer images so I was able to use photoshop and layer myself onto the image multiple times. I first started off by editing my primary image on my phone using PixLr and VSCO. I then transferred the image to photoshop where I edited the saturation and the soccer ball. This is my favorite photo because it encompasses my passion as well as my time at RBV. I can always look back at this picture and remember high school and soccer. I am also very lucky to have been able to learn so much about how to take pictures and the editing process after the picture is taken.

I was really surprise how much I love how it came out and how fun and funny. I had fun taking photos that day with my sister. I wanted to make my idea for the Spooky project more mystery's and scary so I wanted my sister to wear a costume that we had that made sense with what I wanted. So I made my sister put it on for my spooky photos. Then for my editing I used an black and white filter. Also blurred out the background and some of the tree so it can look more spooky. I like that I blurred some of the tree because on the tree it looks like the tree has eyes looking out and I like that some of the eyes are blurred out and some aren´t.

This photograph is from the Holiday Card project. I used Adobe Spark and pixlr to edit it. I like this one specifically because I wanted to emulate a very striking train scene from the Polar Express(a childhood movie), and I think it came out very well. I had someone physically hold a flashlight outside of the view of the camera and shine it on the front spotlight of the toy train. Overall, the snow and lighting edits made a very cool photo that reminds me of fun holidays.

My mentor was Jerry Uelsmann it was both fun and interesting learning about him and making photos in his style. This is a photo of my cousin Alexia, I edited using apps such as Pixlr and PicsArt to make it appear slightly blurry and for the book page over her eyes. I titled this photo "Eyes Tell A Story" because I find eyes to be very captivating and tell the most about a person and their emotions, so I made the saying eyes tell a story literal in this photo.Overall, this was my favorite project and my favorite photo from the project.

This is one of my favorite photographs of this year. I took a more of a medical aspect on the project instead of taking a straight up photograph of people. I wanted to break down and go to the molecular level of the vaccine to show the process in a simple way that almost everyone could understand. My knowledge from AP Biology this year helped with the third and last slides specifically. I made the picture on Google slides but drew the pictures and made them stickers using PicsArt.

I decided to edit this picture like this because I feel I am like a butterfly- I like to be free, sweet, and smart.

My name is Annika Ecklund and this is the photo I uploaded for the project "Flat Lay Photography" in November of 2020. I chose this photograph because I think it was one of the best, or at least most aesthetically pleasing photo I took. The mixture of the lighting from the window and the colors of the paints and subjects really go together. The products in the sun are extremely highlighted and the colors are very vibrant, however, the entire photo is not like that so it is not overwhelming to look at. I also used a blank grey/white table to also mute the background and highlight the colors. I also like this photo because these are all products that I use often. I really enjoy painting and sketching to get my feelings out and it has really helped me throughout my life and struggles. Everything in this photo I have used to create something and then used everything in this photo to create this photograph!

Hi friends!! For my photo, I chose the Vista is beautiful picture because it's probably the project I had the most fun with. I got to walk around downtown Vista with a couple of my friends and I went up to strangers walking around the areas I was in. if I could take their picture. Yes, I believe the Vista is beautiful, but I think the community is what bring out the true beauty of our home. We have so much racial diversity and I think because of that is incredibly beautiful. I used a grapghic design website called Canva to form my template and arranged my photos around the Vista sign in the middle.

It's my personal favorite because most of the photos came out really really good to my surprise, I was proud of myself. I focused on getting the right lighting and good angles of the 55' Chevy in all its beauty, I lastly finished up the photos with a little editing. This is my favorite photo from this specific shoot because I love how the shadows made the color of the car look, and the bird on top of the hood looks really cool in this picture.

This is my favorite photo of the sunrise, it was taken on July 11 at 6:11 am on top of a liquor store rooftop. I took it with my phone, an IPhone 12 Pro Max. It’s my favorite photo because I like how it looks. I like how the sun shines through, above and below the clouds. I like how the sun look so bright yellow but also orange. I also like how you can see the mountains and trees in the back. I also like how you can see the Cinépolis building peak. Another reason that makes this picture one of my favorite is that it was intentionally meant to be a good picture, I was trying to get off the roof when I took the picture.
