Analogous Colors

I chose to go with an orange and yellow theme using the bear as the staple piece of the photo and the makeup pallets and Cantu products to create the "monochromatic look.". The makeup pallets represent beauty and melanin. The Cantu product represents the distinct care black people need in order to maintain healthy hair. And the journal represents creativity because I tend to write my ideas down. In order to capture this photo I used natural lighting and took the photo from a slightly higher angle in order to capture all of the items.

I removed the smaller orange objects and kept the gold, peach and brown objects in the photo so they could stand out. With the exception of brown, these colors go well with orange. This photo was taken with a flash to create shadows and a more vibrant look. Also, the angle that this photo was taken was to give the bear an "expression" since it is an inanimate object.

MOOD

The mood of the photo is happiness, not only is the bears expression "happy" but I associate the color orange with happiness and positivity. It is a bright color just like its neighboring color yellow on the color wheel. The photo is in your face and stands out because of how vibrant and clear it is. I took this photo with natural lighting when the sun was shinning through the window so that the colors would pop and the gel of the photo would be warm.
