I Will Always Write Back feels real and honest, it makes it more interesting to read. Caitlin and Martin tell their story in a way that makes you feel like you're in their lives, sharing feelings and experiences. The book is different because it’s based on a true story about friendship between two people from very different worlds. The story is told through letters, which makes it different from most books. This letter format makes the story more personal and emotional because you get to see what both characters are thinking directly. The way the book was written keeps you wanting to read more, and does not make you feel bored of it. it shows how their friendship grows over time. Overall, the voice and the way the story is told make it stand out from other books about friendship and difficult challenges.

I Will Always Write Back, Caitlin and Martin tell their true story about their friendship that grew across different countries and lifestyles. They both are very interesting because their thoughts, actions, and words show how they grown and what they believe in. The story helped us understand big ideas like friendship, kindness, and understanding others. The way they think and act shows that even if people come from different places, they can still become close and learn from each other’s differences. At first, Martin thought Caitlin was very lucky because she had wealth. But his words show he still wanted to be friends. He writes, “I was surprised by how kind Caitlin was, even though she had everything I didn’t” (Caitlin & Martin, 12). This shows Martin’s thoughts about Caitlin’s kindness, even though he thought she had a lot more than he did. His actions, writing letters, show that he wanted to connect with her despite their differences. This helps show that friendship isn’t about wealth, but about caring and kindness.

Caitlin’s thoughts change as she learns about Martin’s life in Zimbabwe. She says, “I never realized how different life was for Martin, but I wanted to help him” (Caitlin & Martin, 45). This shows that Caitlin feels bad for Martin and wanted to do something to help. Her actions, sending money and writing letters, showed how much she cared about him and wanted to make a difference in his family and him. Her feelings help us see that kindness and helping others can make a big impact, even if people are far apart.

As they became closer friends, their words show how much they care about each other. Martin says, “Caitlin was more than just a girl from America, she was a true friend” (Caitlin & Martin, 78). Caitlin responds, “Our friendship taught me that kindness can cross any boundary” (Caitlin & Martin, 102). These quotes show how their thoughts changed from seeing each other as different to seeing each other as friends. Their actions and words show that understanding and caring can bring people together no matter where they come from.

Post 6: The book expresses social, political, or ideological impacts about society.

In I Will Always Write Back is social and economic differences have a big effect on the characters and how they see the world. For example, Caitlin lives in America with a lot of money and many opportunities, while Martin lives in Zimbabwe and struggles with poverty. This makes Martin feel like he’s missing out on things that Caitlin takes for granted. It also makes readers think about how unfair the world can be, where some people are rich and others are poor. The book shows that these differences can make it hard for people to understand each other at first, but kindness and friendship can help break those barriers. For the readers, this story makes us realize how lucky we are and how important it is to help others, no matter where they come from. It teaches us that social issues can shape people’s lives but that compassion and understanding can make a difference.

Reading I Will Always Write Back made me realize how friendship can go beyond money and being countries away. It showed me that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life. I learned that understanding others’ struggles is really important, and that we should never judge someone just by where they come from. One quote that really stuck with me is when Caitlin says, “Friendship is more than just words; it’s what you do for others.” This reminds me that true friends support each other no matter what. The story made me think about being more caring and open-minded and Also be grateful for everything I have.

I Will Always Write Back is a powerful story that use to make it more interesting and emotional. The authors use is imagery, which helps us see and feel what the characters are experiencing. For example, when Martin describes the hardships in Zimbabwe, it makes us imagine the tough living conditions. The book also uses symbolism, like the letters representing their friendship and hope. Irony is present when Caitlin, who has a lot of money, learns the real meaning of happiness and friendship. The story’s meaning and real world details make it feel genuine. Overall, the book uses literary devices to make the book more heartfelt and also help readers connect with the characters’ feelings and experiences. It’s a really well story that feels like more than just words.
